crime stoppers at 305-471-tips. walter morris, 7 news night team. >> jeff: also on 7, the south florida family searching for answers after another one goes missinwhile out on the water craft. the search spanning nights. >> robbin: he was out on the water with family members and never returned to shore. and jessica holly is live in miami with the latest on the search efforts. jessica? >> reporter: the family of this missing man still hopeful that somehow heel be found alive and they spent the day watching this search. jose, a father of 4, seen here with 3 of his children missing now for more than 24 hours. saturday night around 7:30 and got the call of the missing person at blue lagoon lake near the airport. antonio park became the home base for the search effort.

man was looking to buy a wave runner and took it out for a test drive. >> the person was dressed in all blk, top and bottom. the person was not wearing a life vest. a dangerous combination according to the fwc. after montez diodidn't return from the ride, the wave runner was located in the grouping of trees on the shore line but he was nowhere to be found. >> regarding thcase we'll continue efforts searching. >> reporter: searching all day sunday and into the night as one of the family members continue to watch and wait. >> we still have 4 vessels out on the lake and going around searching and the coast guard assist and the heat came out as well. and we are using sonars and radars and we are checking most of the vegetation and here we are around and as of now the gentleman is still missing. >> and in the distance here you'll see some blue lights with fwc and boats tellllg us they are making a pass around the lake all through the night

crooks in the act after hitting up the amscott financial branch. the store located on southwest 127th avenue near 120th street was broken into some time between friday night and saturday morning. if you have any information on the case, and the people police say are responsible, call miami-dade crime stoppers at 305-471-tips. a smash and dash in a south florida neighborhood. several vehicles broken into at a condo on miami beach and that is the result. people living in the area stunned to find that thieves manage to bypass security. hoping surveillance cameras to release some clues. >> i think because we have security in this area, they are responsible for the actions of the people that did this. i have no idea who did it, but we'd like to find out. that's for sure. >> robbin: it happened on second street and alton road this morning. quite the clean up.

they're going down. >> reporter: captured on the cell phone by an inmate. it shows inmates roaming free from the cells with no correctional officers in sight. the alabama department of corrections says pritchers assaulted and stabbed a correctional officer and the prison warden, carter davenport. the correction officer was stabed when he tried to detain one of the inmates @n the fight and when hehelped with the situation --- he helped with the situation he was also stabbed. in the housing unit and started the fire. >> they were trapped in the chaos. and then tell her that he loved her. >> he sounded like this is his last day. it's like telling the children i loved him and want to come and see them and n't know what's going to happen and he's saying, mom, i love you. he said y'all just pray for us.

flash. and the back dodge challenger crossed the median in albuquerque, new mexico. took out a power pole and hit an albuquerque city bus head on. inside passengers brace for impact while out on the sidewalk the man waiting on the bus stop didn't hesitate to n for his life. after the crash passengers on the bus rushed to help. the chaos captured by the bus's camera system. >> and a female passenger describes the scene to 911. >> and then it's up and the city bus and really intoxicated and sneaking out of the car. >> according to the apd the driver told police he blacked out and didn't remember crossing the median.

some cold medicine earlier in the day. witnesses say he was under the influence of something else. >> and really intoxicated. >> jeff: before police arrived, worried witnesses took them out of the car. afraid the power line attached could fall. apd did a blood draw at the hospital to see if the driver was drunk or high. >> and it's totally sideways. >> reporter: the driver is not identified since hasn't been charged with anything and has a unique name and the online court records and the man with the same name has been arrested 3 times for dwi and even had his car seized by police a couple of years ago. in the satellite center, omar lewis, 7 news. >> a risky rescue in oregon and

white out conditions on mount hood. the weather conditions worsened and the skier reached outo rescuers for help. >> and then been out there before and had no visibility at that point and trying for help. >> and literally had a probe out and putting the probe out in front of us and not to probe the snow and so you can see something in front of us. >> and the man's urgent phone call getting rescuers on the mountain. and then the 3-d map right there to locate his position and brought them back to safety. >> a couple of window washers in safety with another dramatic rescue in illinois and two stranded workers 15 stories up on the chicago high rise after their scaffolding fell apart and they were left dangng. fire fighters responding to the scene and lots of crowds watching below and then going to haul to safety and they were shaken up but not injured.

on 7 news. hope you're having a great night, south florida. most on the storm tracker radar and the moisture is over the northern part of the sunshine state. and as we go into the overnight hours we'll stay mostly dry. also that's where the clouds are as well and just to the north over lake okeechobee and that's the disturbance moving close to us. as we go into the current temperatures right now, we're in the 70s across the board at 77 and pompano beach in fort lauderdale and the 70s in miamdade county. 72 currently in doral as well as west kendall and 76 in key west. 75 in marathon. high humidity as we go into

then it's the humidity and calm winds and that can lead to some clearing of the skies as well as the potential for fog. the inland fog and during the overnight hours and especially with 82% with humidity right now in miami. 86 mph in miami and the winds calm down in the overnight hours and currently in fort lauderdale. taking the big view th the disturbance that's making a whole lot of nests on the west coast and the winter storm watches are in place with showers from the midwest and % then it's going to be closer towards us. that's going to keep us on the toasty side by tomorrow. then it is the hi pressure with the winds shifting more so and the spotty showers cannot be ruled out with that disturbance still hanging around and clear out nicely for tuesday with the high pressure and still warm and that front will not get close to us. so as a result we'll stay on the toasty side all the way into the final days of winter
