case. >> according to his arrest report, johnny gomez was wearing only underwear at this northwest miami dade gas station when he was bted last month. when police officers brought gogoz to the night correctional facility, they say the routine arrest became anything but routine. gomez became combative and when police officers needed help, they dididt get it. obtained this incident report^ gomez became quote, extremely irate and agitated during processing and struck an officer in the chest as he tried to escape. instead of helping, the police officer reported a corrections officer yelled we can't put our hands on him because he's not in

he's all yours. the report goes to -- on to state he continued pushing and got into an o odoor holding area. the officer's partner saw what was happening and rushed to help but also hit in the@ chest by gomez. according to the reportrt personnel stayed inside and closed the door separated them from the struggling police officers. the officers called for emergency back up because the correctional officers on site refused to help. more police officers arrived and gomez was restrained. miami dade corrections and rehabilitation turned down our request for an interview citing an active investigation. t since 7 news a statement in part reads mdcr continues to support our partners and alwlws provide media cystance or back up in any situation. we stand by our reputation of
