that he was hit on the ankle. the driver later running off and later arrested. she's charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and property damage. e owners are shaken up and upset. >> we couldn't believe it when we got the call. we could not believe it. >> reporter: as now the second crash in less than six months at this building. >> it breaks my heart. this is my life savings. >> reporter: back out here live, the damage that you're looking at now is actually the damage from november. the couple s ss they now have to add the new damage, the list of things that they have to repair, but the next step for them, the next step for the family, living in these units here, three units on this property, they have to wait until the city comes out and an engineer can check things out and deal it structurally safe for them to get back inside their homes.

sweeping through the lone star state, damaging vehicles in its path. >> all of my vegetables are gone. >> reporter: large chunks of hail wreaking havoc across the fort worth, texas area on thursday, the ice so thick on the ground in some places, it looks like it snowed. the residents now dealing with the cleanup. >> windshields were broken, and the backs of cars, and in their houses and cars were grown. >> reporter: the strong thunderstorms brought tennis sizeball-sized-sized hail. windows were totally smashed. >> it's hitting hard. and we got a call, and we had to drive into it, and i thought our windshield was going to cave-in at some point. >> reporter: the emergency vehicles were put out of service, and they're awaiting

one firefighter was sent to the hospital with smoke inhalation, and both are said to be finally. >> danielle: a los angeles man hailed a hero after saving three dogs from a fire. the flames grew from a building next door. as the firefighters work to tame the flames, the man jumped into the smoke and grabbed those dogs and got them out. it's unclear if he was the dog's owner. >> lynn: also in texas, a massive fire on destroying an apartment building in houston. look as the crews put out the flames. high winds making the firefight very difficult. it took more than 100 firefighters an hour and a half to put out the flames, and fortunately, nobody was hurt. >> danielle: also on 7, three california boys accused of an unholy act when they broke into

those boys are only seven, eight and nine years old. >> lynn: despite their age, they left behind a major mess. maybe it was because they were so young. ashley jones has the story. >> total chaos. >> reporter: that's how the preacher, eric wallace, describes the damage at the waterford church of christ. the three neighborhood boys broke in twice in a matter of days. >> total disaster, as far as they took a couple of fire extinguishers, and spray them all over the place. >> reporter: the churchgrs found broken windows, and hospital chocolate powder and tea mixed with water on the floor, and probably the most hurtful of all, they say, was this. >> ripped out pages from a songbook, and one little boy's bible was here, and he's 11 now.. >> reporter: the suspects were only seven, eight and nine years old. one of the boy's motheraid that she recognized a footprint

7's diana diez, has the story. >> reporter: nathan is one small miracle. his parents have watched their son fight for his life after he was born weighing only 14.9 ounces and measuring 10 inches long. >> his first picicre, i have my pinkie next to his hand, and it's bigger than his whole happened is, so it's remarkable. >> reporter: she delivered nanaan after 24 weeks of pregnancy after the doctors informed her that she had a problem, and they made the hard decision of a c-section. >> he's still fighting night this tiny premature baby facing the so many obstacles. and he's strong. >> he's definitely want exception and not the rule when it comes to babies that side when it comes to survival.
