there is tidying up ahead of the visit. sweeping and painting and touch-ups and the preparations pretty much end there. one of the first things president obama will see is this billboard. very graphic. it has a noose around the island of cuba and calls the blockade "the longest genocide in history." it's a stark contrast to the welcome pope francis received on his first trip to the island. the cuban government and was filled with flags with the pontiff's picture. one day ahead of mr. obama's visit, no flags but plenty of billboards like these witht cuban children in school uniforms touting education for all. there was some activity at the port where the president will people tuesday, but no pomp and no circumstance for the american president. while the cubans we talked to seem hopeful for the president's visit and what it can mean for their futures. >> (voice of interpreter): cubans in general are very happy and positive thinking.
