and exercise is crucial for prevention. a new cleveland clinic survey shows 40% of americans are getting less than the recommended amount. our dr. tara narula is a cardiologist in lennox hill hospital in new york. i see you have on your red as well. >> heart day. >> i think this is important. what is the right amount of exercise that we should be doing? >> exactly. this survey showed 20% of americans know the right amount for heart health and the rest don't. it's important to understand that the goals are 150 minutes a week of moderate intensity aerobic exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous activity. if you want additional benz, show in strength and additional training per week. you can break that up into 30 minutes five days a week and ten-minute intervals. but it's important to make it a priority and fit it in because exercise lowers blood pressure and decreases inflammation and it's just generally a wonderful
