boat marina killed two people. and it )s super tuesday. which means decision day for the presidential candidates. welcome to newschannel three at 4 - i m beverly kidd. i m barbara ciara. and i m laila muhammad. its the most anticipated day of this presidential election cycle so far - super tuesday. a dozen states -- including virginia -- are holding primaries today to help determine who could get the nomination. today could decide who will be the nominees for the republican and the democratic parties. and there is still time to cast your vote! and taking a live look over the chesapeake bay -- cloudy right now. the first warning storm team is tracking rain and colder temperatures. weather our little taste of spring is just about over. a powerful cold front will push through overnight and early on wednesday. that will bring us a few hours of rain and then falling temperatures. expect scattered showers for

and as erica mentioned -- polls close at seven tonight. we )ll have the results right here on newschannel three and on w- t-k-r dot com. and if you )re on twitter, follow "hashtag wtkr politics" to keep up to date. virginia beach police are investigating a deadly crash involving an e-m-s vehicle. officials tell newschannel three -- 88-year- old doris baxter - a passenger the other car - died from her injuries. police say 31- year-old brigade chief jeffrey brennaman - was driving the e-m-s truck when he morning. this is video from the scene on lynnhaven parkway and north mall drive. hurt - but is expected to be okay. police tell us - brennaman has since been placed on administrative duties - pending

investigation. investigators are asking for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact police at 757-385- 4606. hours earlier in newport news - a fire department ambulance collided with a truck sending several people to the hospital. this accident happened around boulevard. officials say a truck tried to make a turn directly in front of the ambulance. this caused the medic unit to crash into the median. both medics and a patient were taken to the hospital - but were later released. the driver of the truck was not hurt but police did charge him with reckless driving. new details - on a body found this morning in a suffolk cemetery. police have now identified the remains, and are investigating this case as a homicide. police tell us, 42-year-old wayne watfords body was found around one-30 this morning at the pleasant hill cemetery. we have not been told the cause of death at this time. but if you know anything that can help the investigation, call the crimeline. coming up next on newschannel 3 at 4:

country, and from right here in hampton roads were there to pay their respects. investigators say army sergeant ronald hamilton , shot and killed the 28-year-old officer saturday as she and two other officers were responding to a domestic dispute call. hamilton )s wife was found dead inside the home. police say he has admitted to the shootings -- and is being held on murder charges. the other two officers are expected to recover. for a second straight day, sports reporter erin andrews took the stand in her civil trial in tennessee. she gave an emotional testimony today about what she says has happened since a convicted stalker posted a video of her naked online. the well-known sportscaster is suing michael barrett and the owner and operator of the marriott at vanderbilt. barrett was convicted of secretly recorded andrews in her hotel room in 2008. andrews says after the video went viral her life

"making a murderer" defense attorneys are heading out on tour. dean strang and jerry buting are hitting the road for a series called "a conversation on making a murderer." the series is about strang and buting )s client steven avery -- who has taken america s crime obsession to a new level. the two lawyers say avery is serving commit. their speaking tour begins april 16th in boston and will travel to cities across the united states and canada through mid-august. no word on if they plan to come to virginia.

new details -- the washington redskins didn t reach a long- term agreement with quarterback kurt cousins. but they did move one step closer to keeping him

according to a survey -- information provided by the f-b-i and other government agencies showed which counties had the most violent crimes per 100 thousand people in each state. norfolk was ranked 28 and newport news --25. a virginia student is in legal hot water. she s accused of sending using emojis to make threats on a social media account. cheryl conner explains. they )re called emojis. you can find them next to letters when you re typing a text. and just like words they have meaning. cheryl conner/reporting "you can use emojis to tell a story instead of typing out words. how about it )s a sunny day, so i m going to fly off and check out a spring training game." but the message that showed up on olivia womble s phone wasn )t as nice. olivia womble/8th grade student "kids on instagram were getting like death threats, like using emojis. i think it was a skull and a bomb and a gun." the 8th grader attends sidney lanier middle school in fairfax. it was a few months ago.. but we are just learning a student used what the school system believed was threatening emojis on her instagram

also today, president obama met with republican senate leaders -- in hopes they will be open to considering a supreme court nominee this year. it )s homecoming day for nasa astronaut scott kelly after nearly a year in space. he )s been at the international space station longer than any other u-s astronaut-- spanning 340 days. kelly and a russian cosmonaut served as test subjects-- so scientists could study the effects of space travel on the human body. tomorrow-- kelly will be flown to houston to undergo a battery of physical and scientific tests. police in the philippines say fishermen found an abandoned boat with a body inside. they said the remains were brown in color and seemed mummified. the craft was found drifting in the sea about 60 miles east of the town of barobo. an autopsy was conducted-- but

a man accused of posing as a high school student for years at pennsylvania high school now faces new charges. artur samarin is now charged with identity theft and unsworn falsification --this time for applying for the citizen s police academy . the

and admits he used a fake birth certificate and social security card, to enroll in a pennsylvania high school four years ago. samarin claims his adoptive parents gave him the fake documents -- so he could have a better life. the man is already charged with theft, identity theft, conspiracy, corruption of minors and sexual assault while posing as a student. a texas couple was shocked when they saw what was printed on their i-hop receipt. the words "black people" was printed at the top. the restaurant and waiter have apologized -- but - as bridget spencer explains - the couple says it s not enough. rolman sparkman and his girlfriend arainia didn t expect this to show up on their ihop to-go order receipt.

came up to me and said you see the receipt? it says black people on there. i said what do you mean it says black people? yeah, that )s right, black people, printed in big letters on the top of the receipt. the couple walked into the 24-hour spot on cesar chavez street early monday morning just before 3-o-clock. brown says she couldn )t believe what she was reading. brown says: "what does this mean? are you going to do something to my food or my car?" what surprised them the most is that their waiter, dwayne, is also black. sparkman says: "people being racist, and it )s your own people being racist toward you for no reason." brown worked as a waitress before. she says there are other ways to identify people. brown says: "we either put a number or a to-go or the color of their shirt..not their skin color," on his facebook page, the waiter, dwayne williams apologized and says it was a slip up to get orders out. he is sorry if he offended anyone. ihop released this statement saying: fs statement "this was a poor choice made by our franchisee s-p&team member, and is not in-p&keeping -p&with policies and procedures. we recognize that it could be offensive and sincerely apologize. everyone is welcome in our restaurants and our franchisee is using this as a teachable moment for the entire team so that it will not reoccur." the couple says the waiter does not deserve the job. they will never go back to that ihop again. arkman says: "that )s kind of

i-hop says --it has since let the waiter go. a colorado teen is recovering after the battery in his electronic cigarette exploded -- leaving him with severe burns. now his father is warning others not to make the same mistake. the 17 year old suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his left leg and hand. the e-cigarette was in his pocket when it exploded. he says once the sparks started flying, it looked like someone was actually welding inside his-p&pocket. doctors say they )re seeing a dramatic increase in the number of injuries caused by e- cigarettes

it was a terrifying scene at a gas station in san francisco -- when a bus caught fire. the whole thing was caught on camera. justine waldman has more on what happened. with the bus on fire... the flames reached to the roof of the gas station. and the black smoke took over. this absolutely frightened people passing by. "somebody kept saying that if it blows the whole block could go, so i just got out of there." nats at first our cameras were kept back from the fire. but watch here when one of the explosions happens... nats a fire fighter gets blown backwards. "it was burning burning the black smoke took a while for to come they were telling everyone to get back just for our safety." once the fire department put the fire out, the damage was clear. the fire

of the para-transit bus parked at a pump and got out when he saw smoke coming from the engine and went inside the gas station store to call his boss. that is when people inside saw the fire and called for help. "i told the customers get out get out get of here...the explosion." no passengers were on the bus when it caught on fire. the fire so intense, several gas pumps and even the lettering on the signs ..melted. we tried to ask the the bus driver what happened. "i have no comment." but he was not interested in answering questions... as to how his bus could ended up like this. workers at the gas station quickly turned off the fuel to the pump ... which likely stopped a larger explosion. no word yet on when the gas station
