breaking news in the wesley hadsell case -- his federal lawyers have filed a motion to withdrawal from his case. this comes just weeks before he )s scheduled to be sentenced for possession of ammo charges. the charges surround the disappearance of his adopted daughter aj hadsell. federal court documents say a new witness could testify against hadsell -- in hopes that he or she received a reduction in his or her sentence . it does not say who the witness is or what their relation is to the case. court documents say this witness is where the conflict of interest lies. aj hadsell disappeared a year ago this week -- her body was found behind an abandoned home in southampton county. the medical examiner says she died

we )re following more breaking news -- the l-a-p-d has confirmed that a knife found at o-j simpson s former estate... is being tested for d-n-a this is connection to the investigation into the murders of nicole brown and ronald goldman. right now we )re waiting on a news conference to start in los angeles --- here s what )s we do know right now -- there are reports a construction worker found a folding buck knife at the simpson estate, as early as 1998. the knife was given to a police officer, who was nearby. the knife, to himself, all this time. his superiors didn t know about it until he retired and told people he was going to have the knife framed. simpson was acquitted, in 1995, of murdering his ex-wife nicole, and her friend ronald goldman. he cannot be prosecuted for that again. our other big story today -- the

breaking news -- we now know when former virginia governor bob mcdonnell (will get his day in the supreme court. justices will hear arguments in his case on april 27th -- according to the schedule just released by the supreme court. in september 2014, mcdonnell was convicted on corruption charges. so was his wife, maureen. after the justices hear the arguments, they will issue a decision by the end of june. the republican candidates for president are back on the campaign trail today after their 11-th debate. craig boswell reports. donald trump picked up where he left off from the debate...taunting his opponents during a rally in michigan friday morning. sot: donald trump/r presidential candidate "little marco - little marco." the cdc says infections in hospitals are decreasing. new reports finds a 50 percent drop in bloodstream infections and a 17 percent drop in surgery infections. but doctors say more focus now needs to be on antibiotic resistant bacteria known as superbugs. --cdc and two different studies show possible health benefits from yogurt and large amounts of coffee. boston researchers found women who ate five or more servings of yogurt a week had a lower risk of developing high blood pressure. and researchers in sweden and the u.s. found drinking six cups of coffee a day reduced the risk of multiple sclerosis. they say coffee has anti- inflammatory properties. and regular use of aspirin can help prevent cancer. thats according to researchers in massachusetts who looked at two long term studies. they found aspirin provides the best protection from colon cancer and other tumors of the g i tract. luggage maker samsonite is hoping to bag some extra profit with a new business deal.

this just in-- this just in: the group trying to collect enough signatures from voters to put the issue of light rail on the november ballot-- says they now have enough signatures. they collected many of those signatures on tuesday outside of primary voting locations. they want to ask the question - should city council use local funds to extend light rail from norfolk to town center in virginia beach. they say at last count the have about 20- thousand signatures -- and only needed 16- thousand-500. the group behind the petition - is opposed to light rail. the want

a little girl in south carolina calls 9-1-1 for an emergency. you mean a fashion emergency-- two-year-old aaliyah called 9- 1-1 because she said she need help getting dressed. a dispatcher informed deputy martha lohnes of the situation. the deputy thought it would be a nice diversion from the routine and agreed to help. when the doorbell rang-- aaliyah was very excited to see who it was. martha lohnes, greenville co. deputy aaliyah s grandfather was watching her at the time. he says he was unaware she called 9-1-1 until the deputy arrived.
