if you have any information, you are asked to contact the norfolk crime line. live in norfolk, brian hill, newschannel three. right now newschannel three s kelly rule is at the scene of a shooting in hampton. kelly, what have we learned from police there? erica i m actually standing behind the ace hardware store that s along nickerson boulevard. an employee tells me -- it was his co-worker who called 9-1-1. vo according to the employee -- the man was back here helping a customer load something into his car -- when he heard someone yelling for help. the employee walked into the woods behind the store and found a man lying on the ground -- bleeding. he says he appeared to be a teenager -- around 17- years-old. tag: police say the man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. the motive and circumstances are still under investigation at this time. live in hampton, i )m kelly

and in newport news -- two people were shot during a house party early this morning. it happened on hamilton drive around 2:30 a-m. police say a 17- year-old was shot in the back and a bullet grazed his thigh. he was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. an 18- year-old woman was also shot in the thigh, but is expected to be ok. newschannel 3 spoke with one neighbor who asked us to protect her identity. she says the house where it happened always has a lot of people there -- and has thrown wild parties in the past. police say the suspect they are looking for is a man between 19 and 22 years old. if you have any information about this shooting or any others -- take action and call the crime line at 1-888-lock-u-up.

the navy )s newest attack submarine was christened today in newport news. the secretary of the navy s daughter - elizabeth mabus - had the honor of christening the submarine --- by smashing a bottle of sparkling wine across its bow. she s serving as sponsor of the virginia-class submarine. nearly four- thousand newport news shipbuilders have worked on washington. construction began back in 2011. the washington will move into the james river this month
