7:05 am
now. here is the latest on where the system is. hermine is 50 miles northeast of tallahassee,.0 mile per hour winds, moving north-northeast at 14 miles per hour. the path of this system right now looks like this, we will see it continue inland through saturday afternoon. it comes off somewhere along the cape, right around saturday afternoon, 45 miles per hour. here is the rest of the track, though, we're going to be talking about this system into thedl to the new jersey/new york shoreline. 60 mile per hour winds, it's just below tropical strength system, but we are going to be looking at winds, rain, coastal beach erosion right into next week. storm surges today, the big bend area of florida 2 to 4 feet around tampa and southeastern atlantic coast georgia to north carolina 1 to 3 foot surges. we also have a risk of tornadoes

7:09 am
there's a pretty nauk shus smoke plume heading out towards the beach. >> temporarily closing down the beach. >> reporter: amazingly no one was injured during this routine test gone bad, but the unmanned rocket was destroyed along with a special satellite, it's mission to help facebook bring the internet to parts of africa. ceo mark zuckerberg saying he is deeply disappointed but will keep working until everyone has the opportunities this satellite would have provided. the actual launch was for saturday morning. elon musk says the cause still unknown. as spacex investigates what went wrong. the blast caused major damage to the spacex launch pad at cape canaveral, that could seriously impact the satellite launch schedule. this is a concern because this is the same type of rocket that will be used on future manned missions. so finding out what went wrong will be a very high priority.
