commercial now where he is steve in a car commercial. >> i love how you are like i know people who you are talking about. >> you know my friend mike. sorry. >> one of my favorite things. this show is really about you. one of our favorite things about each day i think it's our art's cameras plus picture of the day. we get to feature people who watch the show and want to see loved ones on tv. >> that's right you sit here and look at us every day, but t picture of the day gives us a chance to see you and the ones you love. today's beautiful photo comes from jessica. she captured this great moment of her two nieces and jessica says the two have a strong bond and it shows everything they do. the age gap doesn't matter and they run and play as one and enjoy every moment together. i love that. my mom and her sister are 15 years apart. they are not this big, but that bond between sisters grows.
9:05 am
if there is someone you would like to see featured on tv make them our picture of the day by emailing us pictures@themorningblend.com. an anniversary wouldn't be complete without a look back at the beginning. >> here's how the show started off ten years ago. >> thanks for inviting us over to your place today. since this is our first show we thought maybe you were wondering what it is all about. we want to get first things first here. this is a local lifestyle talk show. >> it's a brand-new concept to the area and really a brand-new concept to theh we both came from news backgrounds, but we wanted to let you guys know and maybe to reiterate it ourselves it's completely different from news, we just feel like there are a lot of things going on in the community that really don't have a voice and basically are the things you don't know about. [ applause ] >> yeah. tiffany was not oh, they are awesome. love having the feedback. tiffany wasn't with us just yet. allison was my first co-host.
9:06 am
>> i know. >> look at that. >> it was so short back then. >> it was so short. >> ten years ago i can't even believe it and for those of you that don't know we had no air conditioning either. it was a big buildup to the show and no air we were just, out there. >> sweating. >> what was the suit made of you were wearing? >> it was wool. actually faye we got our first outfits from faye wetzel. we still do a faye's fashion friday. she outfitted us for the first show so suit. check it out and my hair looks terrible. >> i have to say i think you both ten years later look more beautiful than you did back then. >> thank you so nice of you. >> for real i'm not even, you know trying to get something out of you guys. 9:07 am
>> those are the two kids. >> adorable. >> when we had segments on parenting ten years ago i think i gave better parenting advice without kids than i do right now. >> i always say the perfect parents are the ones without kids. back then you knew what you were doing. then you realize you know nothing when you have a kid. ut oh. oops. >> what was your first impression of molly? >> i thought she was a shoe in for the show. we had >> greg was our boss. still the boss. >> he said for this show go and try on some outfits at a clothier store and we're going to see how well you get along and see the chemistry and i thought oh, my gosh she has to be my best friend right now. like she's just -- >> shopping is not easy. >> i would be in the dressing room putting on outfits talking to molly and trying to hone in on what i could say to make this
9:08 am
>> i wanted the job and i wanted you to like me. >> did you like her? >> i liked her. i said with both of you it clicked and it worked. that chemistry is really important. that's the thing people say to me the most often you think you too tiff it seems like you really like each other like you are really friends. when people see us out they are like oh, you really do hang out. >> yeah and same for you. >> also, for sure, one bit of advice right before that first show i was thinking about was just be yourself. that the audience you guys people like each other how that goes. just be yourself and then it was like 3, 2, 1 then -- >> okay be yourself wow. >> there was so much buildup to the first show. i refer after the first day thinking oh, my gosh we have to do this another four days and come next week and do another five days and five days becomes five days. that's the thing i say so often that the days are long, but the years are short.
9:09 am
