>> for real. i this i you will love both. the first challenge, the french coast comes from ariel in pennsylvania, a senior at the university of maryland and loves french toast with the fixin's, the butter and syrup. when you order it at a restaurant it will cost you 1090 calories. it's not much for two slices. i will do a version that is just as luxurious and indulgent and 36 the usual ingredients, butter maple syrup, whole grain bread, but i will do a version with caramelized apples on top. we will start here. i sprayed the pan with a little oil spray. a little butter because it's not much to replace butter and then sliced apples on top. one teaspoon of maple syrup. >> just a teaspoon.

nutmeg. caramelize them for seven minutes to get them gooey and finish them off with a dash of vanilla extract. >> that's going to be good. >> it will be delicious and that will make our french toast. here we have one whole egg and one egg white. i will add more vanilla extract and a little nutmeg and cinnamon. we are bringing the fall flavors together. you can dump the bread in hire. this is a whole grain bread that is low calorie. you are looking for a loaf that is 50 calories per slice. throw it on there. >> hoda, that's hoda. that is so funny. i wish we could rerack that. >> this is what it comes out looking like.
