9:21 am
welcome back to the morning blend where it is a faye's fashion friday. the weather outside is starting to feel like fall that's for sure. we decided it was the perfect time to talk about spring fashion. >> what? >> that's right. >> is that a typeo? >> it's not faye wetzel just returned from the spring fashion shows so she knows all of the trends that will carry you through from fall saving you money. right?
9:22 am
now, that is just going to be out in two three months. >> i'm always really curious when i go to the spring shows i'm like the fall stuff is barely in the store, but i'm thinking okay what is going to carry through into spring. i think it's really important for ours customers and viewers. >> i think that would be the hard part of your job is to get, you know we're just starting the fall then we're going to have winter and you're already thinking spring. >> the only thing i hate about my business? >> is a s absolutely right. the other only thing i hate about my business i'm never in the moment. >> oh, yeah. >> i truly have to think what month is this? i truly have to think that. >> i get that all right. very interesting. >> let's get to where we can save our money by buying things that will last us through spring. the first one is shoulder, interest and mid-y length. >> i keep waiting for this shoulder thing to go away. i like it a lot. i think it was fun and fresh and
9:23 am
because i thought it was quite trendy it is going nowhere. >> off the shoulder, asymmetrical shoulder. kind of what we're seeing for fall that peasant thing. off the shoulder and the ruffle here. we're seeing a lot of that. it's a little more difficult to wear than a cold shoulder, but i'm very surprised that this trend is holding on. >> and you don't have to have perfect shoulders. i was sculpted shoulder, but you can fine a shape that flatters anyone. >> it's age appropriate because the shoulders are last to go. >> very good i like that. >> it's tough because i feel like that can sometimes add bulk. >> ath leisure trend. >> it make mess happy. >> and we're not talking here about lulu lemon on the street. that's not what we're talking about. that gym clothes that sometimes
9:24 am
leisure that sometimes you can even wear to the office depending on what your job is. part of this is this trend in bomber jackets. that's something that has been around for a while too, but i am really seeing that come on strong. >> what about florals? >> well, -- >> see molly i love how you pay attention. >> you pay attention. >> i'm so on trend. [laughter] >> no? >> yes molly absolutely. >> we have talked about how florals have always been for spring and summer and now norrals and bow tan cals are huge for fall and winter. >> i have seen the b botanicals like the jungle or fern print. >> that nondeliberate pattern play is all still in. >> and interest on the bottom. huge deal. >> and the pattern play.
9:25 am
nondeliberate. this isn't even staying in the same color family. we have stripes with florals here. >> that's wild. >> okay. lace up. what does that mean? >> you can see she's got lace on her top. so that whole thing about bows that we're seeing for fall and winter, anything that laces up, anything sort of corsety. anything that has strings hanging that's a big deal. but anything with lacing. i think that's a pretty easy trend to understand right? >> you mentioned bomber. like the bomber jacket is i >> and we kind of had some another bomber there is your fine print. >> a little combo. >> thank you very much. >> there is a little water for you. >> she has a little frog in her throat. >> uh-huh. >> the bomber jacket, i tell you that this is something that in the past we found customers a little not wanting to embrace.
9:26 am
a little shaped. think about that when you are thinking about a bomber. >> the botanical prints you mentioned. tackles, prints, leather, embroidery. i have even seen embroidery on jeans. i don't know if i'm a fan. i have seen some that are really cute, but it has to be done well. >> i remember that from the 60s. also patches. patches on jeans, patches on jackets, patches on bombers. what is fringe another thing i thought might go away after a couple seasons, oh, baby that is not the truth. fringe has kind of taken the tassels. anything that is hanging and salvage edge. >> what about the new denim jacket? >> i had to edit your people called and said faye we can't have all of those pictures you need to edit. i was going to toss this out i thought i can't, i can't i'm with molly. >> molly's people said no keep
9:27 am
>> that's right. [laughter] >> i don't wear as much to work as i used to because, my boss was even like too much. too many jackets. >> i like that there is a reinvention. >> so why don't you explain this one. you see the difference because you are of course, you're the authority on denim jackets. >> this one has got some embellishment on it a little embroidery, but also a lit distress and kind of a different shape. it's not the traditional cut of a denim jacket. >> even your traditional denim jacket silhouette you see that distress destroyed salvage edge going on. and yes the embellishment. take a broach out of your jewelry box put it on thedenim jacket. >> how about a patch? >> >> go back to your girl scout vest and pull off the patches. >> faye's 123.com.
9:28 am
that says shop local and my other patch is going to say -- >> peace on earth. >> peace on earth. >> i'm going to get one that is a queen that has a crown. i want that too. >> i have one of those for you. >> do you okay bring it on. bring it on. >> thanks faye great to see you. still ahead a local grocer with the amenities of a giant chain.
9:29 am
9:30 am
9:31 am
welcome back. halloween is just a month away. if you don't want your skin to scare you, our next guest can help. >> dr. deborah manjoney is here from the wisconsin vein and medispa with october specials. they all have a great theme to sort of match the halloween theme. >> you do a lot of fun promotions. >> we do. >> i think it's kind of a fun way to share all of the wonderful things you do. let's start with the first themed thing which is the infinity. this is really something that leaves people better than when they started. >> it is microneedling combined with radio frequency heat. it's the best way to get the heat deep into the skin. you get the effect of microneedling and skin
9:32 am
actually being delivered. >> what is interesting is the change in coloring and tone. >> yes. that's from the microneedling. that improves that and really great for acne scarring fantastic even one treatment makes a big difference. this is a really good treatment for somebody that has a little lax under the jaw line and under the chin it will do a great job of tightening that up too. >> stimulating collagen too. >> maybe that's what i need. >> just asked during the there we go. the next one. >> the pixel laser is a similar type of thing we are using streams of lasers separated by normal areas of skin. so, you know i always say instead of a just a faucet being opened, and getting the whole area wet we're just streaming it through like a shower head. what we're doing by leaving the normal islands of skin in between where we're doing our
9:33 am
allow for much more rapid healing along the surface of the skin. it's a nice resurfacing for anyone that has textural problems. it really is another wonderful treatment. the whole idea is we're shooting you full of holes this month. >> yeah. [laughter] >> i get it. >> speaking of holes and fixing things a lot of people want to do tattoo removal. so you have a special on that right now too. >> tattoo removal is using the newest technique called the reverse. we actually again using a little leaving little islands of the normal skin underneath we're able to use a template to get rid of the tattoo. it takes fewer sessions than it has before. usually 3 to 5. it depends on how colored in it is. that is under one treatment. people are also more motivated to get in and get more
9:34 am
that is just faded. >> especially if it is just the lettering, we can actually do it much more quickly and really get rid of it in two or three treatments. >> that's really nice. >> do a lot of people want to erase the name? >> that's the thing they would want to erase. >> i bet it is number one. >> there are little designs people outgrow. that's fine. >> you get people too that things are spelled incorrectly? >> we do. >> weo. [laughter] >> and all of this, one of the things that is wonderful about all of these different treatments because we went through some of them in this theme is you get a free consultation first. >> that's right you get a free consultation. >> so you no exactly what kinds of treatment is right for you. >> we can make sure you pick the right thing. come in have the complimentary consultation. we'll decide what is best for you. these things are on special this
9:35 am
specials and always having things that are going to be right for that individual. >> what is the, there is down time and social down time, you kind of distinguish between the two. >> social down time means you might have to wear makeup. >> because your skin is so blotchy. >> you can go out you're not isolated in your house. some of the old treatments some of the deep peels, some of the laser resurfacing, even facelifts sometimes, people are waiting inside their house they can't go out at all. a couple days at least. withll can go out right away. you're not at risk for infection and you can put makeup on within 12 hours. >> let's run through the specials. the gangster mobster theme shooting you up with holes. starting with the infinye. this is a high intensity microneedling with radio frequency. you purchase a single treatment for tightening and wrinkle
9:36 am
regularly $700 or a package of three for 1500ed. so then you save $400 on that. the next one is on the pixel this is the er fractional resurfacing. the full face treatment for $500. that's a savings there of $250. and last, got a tattoo hanging around you don't want anymore, somebody's name maybe? you can rub it out with reverse. it's a new non-laser tattoo removal treatment. you get $150 off a pac here's what you need to do for your free consultation, (262)746-9088. it's the wisconsin vein center and medispa. always great to see you. >> thank you great to see you too. >> happy halloween. october is tomorrow. >> yeah. still ahead ryan jay is here with reviews of the movies coming out this weekend including the one for this film called queen of cot way.

9:50 am
what you have to say about the first one. i watched the the trailer deepwater horizon. i have seen all of the commercials pg13. let's start. >> this movie is a true story of the worst oil disaster in u.s. history. >> right. >> and it was, so nerve-racking. i literally started praying during the film. >> really? >> i was like hugging my knees i said oh, god, oh, god, oh, god several times i was shouting at the screen so intense. >> and i sort of insights the fact there is a it community that comes together. what do you compare this to. >> it's really titanic meets back craft. it's like titanic because you know it is all going to hit the fan and you're bracing yourself waiting for that moment to happen. everything leading up is good story telling and you are beginning to tell about these characters and understand the scenario. back draft because it involves a lot of disaster and fire and running from it and it's just terrifying. >> how about the cast seeing a
9:51 am
>> mark wahlberg is fantastic as is kurt russell. kate hudson, gina rodriguez all really good. they work well together as a team. in real life kate hudson and kurt russell she's his step daughter. it's fun to see them on the screen. the effects on the big screen it really transports you. >> i i'm holding my breath. is there a >> this chronicles the true events that happen. over warnings for safety. people died. you know so i'm like, i'm not going to go fill up my car for gas at bp anymore. i was angry at them you know, but it's really intense. >> it's like horror there is terror watching this.
9:52 am
