exceptional care and meets the needs of the patients. >> that thought i think is awful to think that not only are you getting this devastating news, but you are not understanding half of what is being said. how common is that? >> very common and in fact it's not a language issue, it's the fear that derives from the word itself. i tell my patients the most feared word is not four letters it and once i have a patient and i tell them they have cancer their eyes gloss over, their vision goes up and they think i'm dying and stop hearing. even if it's the earliest stage. that's one of my biggest pet peeves, it's why i don't like breast cancer because as a physician, breast cancer is very curable, but it is so scary that it is developed a culture of its own i think it is detracting
tv-commercial
9:26 am
because then we're losing the focal point of the process. cancer is one illness with many variations. if we foe cut on only one we lose track. having said that think they have done a lot with the support we have for breast cancer and everything else i'm not going to say anything bad i think that's just one of the things we have. >> to have a doctor that knows it is so curable is so refreshing and there is hope for so much of this. the fact that people stop hearing especially if there is language barrier that's part of the reason aurora created this cancer care spanish clinic right? >> correct. it provides two things we can look at. one adequate communication. why is that so important? the interpretation program we have in a lot of schools is very helpful and it is necessary. they filter things and not on purpose. but, you imagine somebody who has been training just to translate, and all of the sudden are thrust into the middle of a
9:27 am
you have an illness if not treated can you die in six months how emotionally will they handle that on their own. some people can, some can't. i have been taught because i can speak native spanish i can muddle some other languages and can i hear translations and they are not 100% accurate. that's what pushed us to try to create something. hispanics are 30% of the population now and to provide the information they n the other important thing is research and medicine has developed a name which is good, but you have to know it comes from dark origins because we all have the hum research that has been described as being unethical and illegal in the ne has been full of it since world war ii. without goingoo far polo virus and polio vaccines were tested
9:28 am
comes to being able to enroll people in research. research is becoming important. our hispanic population is big. to get them into research programs we really need them to panish and understand it. we have created a virtual clinic. we don't have it physica it's very fluid. we have myself that speaks fluid spanish i have a nurse practitioners fluid in spanish and pharmacists. we have consents for research in spanish. everything in spanish so patients can participate in the progress of medicine, which is quite expensive and quick and fast paced to the pointhat even us old timer doctors beusi'm gettingld. [laughter] >> can't keep up with the data. >> that is something that makes the cente very unie. what are you hoping the experience is like for patients? >> we want themo feel comfortable.
9:29 am
we want them to feel that they expeceth erythingat over t possible that can be given to them and getting the utmost care and we're providing the best quality medicine we can. quality medicine doesn't mean you have to use the most expensive newest drugs. sometimes goodies, but oldies work just as as well. we have a lot of people say if i'm going to get the most expensive i'm being treated, you have to understand the whole process. >> what kind of cancers do you treat and what kind of services do you offer as part of the saint luke's hospital we're located and can provide the information, but saint luke's hospital cancer care program. there we see all cancers all times. we're actually big enough that we specialize we have a doctor that does everything. my area is gastrointestinal disease. all of them are divided. we have a team of people intervening. so the spanish clinic is following the same process. >> i like that a team think is
9:30 am
if someone wants to visit your clinic specifically, is there anything they need to do? is it only by referral r example? >> no ty can justl cal the aurora canr clinic and ask for an appointment and get scheduled then. sometimes it will be me, sometimes maybe one of my other colleagues what the specialty needs with my nurse practitioners and dedicated translators. >> here's the information so you can give them a call and get care that fits you to learn more call (414)384-5111. you can also access a spanish voice mailbox at (414)389-4619 too. that's the aurora cancer care spanish clinic for more information. thanks for being here doctor. >> great to meet you. >> always my pleasure. >> thank you.

9:36 am
[laughter] >> but yes, new locker rooms were built, rest rooms have all been upgraded, concession stands have been upgreated our retail stores doubled in size. the lobby, for those who remember going to the building as youngsters, back in the day, we have uncovered the original flooring for the building that was built in 1950 and it is just beautiful, beautiful flooring and it is are it's been a great partnership with the wisconsin center district to make all of this happen. >> you have great promotions things like that going on as well? >> we do. our first big one obviously opening that's a huge event. but our first bobbleheads are coming up next week with our presidential bobbleheads so you can come pick -- >> i'm going to vote roscoe for president. >> i think that's what we should have done yup. >> roscoe for president. >> absolutely.

[laughter] >> it's been mostly accurate. think there is only one election in the history since you have been doing it that it didn't call it. >> right. we'll see. it was actually the last one. we'll see what happens this time around. >> did you get the trump skin tone sort >> well know it's not that bad, but -- [laughter] >> he has a little hue let's put it that way. >> a little bit of a hue. there i feel like have you a new nose. >> does he? >> the hockey puck. [laughter] >> no i think he is just, he is nice and clear for opening night. >> he is clean is that it? >> squeaky clean. >> got a little wishing wash. >> looks good i like it.

welcome back. if your teeth are yellowing we may have the solution for you. tia leslie is here today with an easy way to whiten your teeth appearance. good to have you back. >> thank you so much for having me tiffany. >> thanks for being here. let's talk about yellow teeth to start. a lot of us have yellow teeth. you know, it is lifestyle, blueberries, coffee, tea whatever it is that we eat or drink and oftentimes you say that makes us look older. >> absolutely. again you have to remember, your smile is the first thing that people see. so if you have yellow or stained teeth, you know, you really need to put your best foot forward and that's what somebody sees right off the bat.

brighten. it is shown to whiten your teeth on an average 2 shades in five minutes, six shades in 7 days which is unheard of. >> i love that. it really does make you look years younger. what is the statistic there? >> it is amazing. the more you use it, obviously it's the whiter it gets, but, on average, two shareds in five minutes, six shades in seven days it's a seven day kit and it's going to last you about six months. i can show you how to work it. >> absolutely i love that. when you look at this is digitally altered for the after, but she well does look so much younger. >> she does. it is amazing how much whiter. whiter teeth can give you the appearance of looking up to 13 years younger and healthier i might add. she looks more vibrant and youthful and years younger. >> i think she looks 20 years younger in that 60 in one and 40 in the other. truthfully. i can't go in the morning
9:44 am
i try to swap in with tea, but both really hurt the color of my teeth. >> you have to remember, you are eating and drinking every day, i had my coffee this morning so i get it. so it's a two step system it's a two swab system. this is what you're going to do. the first swab is called stainout. >> it really is a swab like a q tip. >> you swab it on. and what this does two things it helps lift the stain first, which is game changing. lifts the stain before you whiten and helps to rehydrate that enamel so itps i know a lot of people have trouble with that. >> especially with whitening strips or trays. >> absolutely. leave that on for two minutes then you follow-up with a whitener and you swab it on. can you really get into the nooks and crannies. >> you aren't covering it you are just leaving it exposed. >> just leaving it exposed for two minutes really let it do its job then you are out the door five minutes and you're done. with every power swabs kit you
9:45 am
your mouth. >> i love it. so instead of getting a stain on your shirt you get a stain on your teeth you know where that is. >> you know where that is. pop it in yours purse in your briefcase. i used it this morning when i had coffee before the show. an amazing way to whiten and brighten your teeth on the road. >> you have such beautiful white teeth. >> oh, thank you. >> the thing i always worry about i have a veneer i have a fake tooth. everything gets white except for thoo can help whiten and brighten your teeth, but also if you have somebody that has caps, crowns or veneer it will help restore them to their natural color. it's an amazing new whitening kit. >> our cameraman has used it he used it twice and he noticed a difference just after two uses do you see changes right away? >> right away on average, two shades in just five minutes, six

9:46 am
a seven day kit, and it really should last you about six months. so it's an mazing you're not running to the dentist to get the fitted trays that are expensive or time-consuming stripses. amazing. for seven days if you want to whiten and brighten your teeth. >> peoples routines are so busy you just use it for that one period of time. >> exactly. five minutes, use it as part of your beauty ritual in the morning, will you get used to it and you are really going to see a major difference. >> is it a lot different than the strips and trays that so many people can buy? >> it is. here are the game changes effects with power swabs. again, you are going to lift the stain first, not a lot of teeth whitening kits on the market do that they just cover the stain. lift the stain first, rehydrate the enamel so it really helps with that teeth sensitivity and then again, works in about five minutes so, it can work into your schedule in the morning, in the evening, works for both men
9:47 am
