potboiler is complete. all 72 counties in the badger state completed their counts-- - and at three o'clock this afternoon those results had all been reported and were promptly certified by the wisconsin election commission. if anybody was expecting--- a dramatic change in the outcome--- they were surely disappointed. the recount resulted in almost no shift in the numbers. donald trump's margin of victory remains just over roughly 22- thousand votes--- out of nearly three million cast. this was really a remarkable achievt clerks, the canvassing boards, the tabulators, the municipal clerks. it's something that has never been done before in the state of wisconsin: conducting a recount of a presidential election. and the fact that this was done in ten days i think is really a credit to those individuals. and this result--- also concludes the national story. as you know, jill stein's request for recounts in pennsylvania and michigan were denied. so the wisconsin recount was the only story--

4:10 pm
so we wanted to know if one product that promises protection from hackers is really worth considering. maureen tierney recently walked into bed bath and beyond...and picked up a bunch of stocking stuffers she figured her family would love. "it's a product that's supposed to protect your credit card from identity theft....it has a special metal blocking aluminum alloy." the product is an rfid blocking credit card sleeve. you may have seen internet posts about how someone can rub up store....and capture your credit card number. but maureen wonders if it really does anything."it looks like aluminum foil on the inside, and i thought, well i don't know about this!"(matarese field "the idea behind these credit card protectors is simple. your credit card inside a leather wallet has no protetion against a radio frequency card reader." so we went to an internet securtiy expert, appolonia garcia of "healthguard security" ...to find out if these little foil sleeves are a good idea.
4:11 pm
garcia says they do what they promise...blocking rf waves. but he says in most cases you don't need them. why not? because that little chip or magnetic sprip in most cards is not an rf chip....it can't be read by proximity."the number of credit cards that have rf capability is infinitely small, less than 1 percent." an rf card, garcia says, has what looks like a wi-fi signal on it: hotel keys are one example, and could be vulnerable. but he says this is like protection from a meteor attack....it do they make good stocking stuffers? sure! but many security experts say its doubtful you'll ever be hacked this way. helpful info to know so you dont waste your money. i'm john matarese, today's tmj4. storm team 4 weather now.... our temperatures are going to take a nosedive...here's jesse ritka with the freezing
