that breaking news now-- accident involving a garbage truck and a car. we're told the garbage truck worker was hurt. brandon rook joins us live with the latest-- we've been out here for the past 45 minutes and the scene is still active. let me show you this ford mustang and city garbage truck collided we know that one person was injured and was flown to the frodert hospital. i just got the phone with someone with the city of racine and they tell me that a city worker was hit by this car you see on

brian... things get dangrous cold tonight. with a clear sky, and snow on the ground, temps dropped quickly last night with lows near zero and wind chills to - 15. temps have been rising into the teens this morning ahead of the next cold front that arrives early this afternoon. today will sunshine, temps droppingi nto the single digits, a 30 mph wind, and wind chills around -10. actual temps will drop to -3 along the lake, to -9 inland by thursday morning with wind chills to -25. a wind chill advisory is in effect for all of se wisconsin

information you may need. more news now-- several people have been arrested in waukesha linked to prostitution and human trafficking.the investigation began with an anonymous tip to crime stoppers... saying criminal behavior was happening at several massage businesses in the area. here's a list of the affected locations. police say the investigation is ongoing.. and charges will be filed at a later date. help is coming to those living with lead pipes.... but don't expect it to happen overnight. the city is working on a program whicwo year that would replace lateral service lines in area homes. the city would pay to replace the portion of pipes it's responsible for. homeowners would pay their portion over the next decade.... no more than 16- hundred dollars.. or one-third of the total cost. mayor tom barrett has released a statement on the vote saying.. "milwaukee continues to move forward in the fight against lead. i'm thankful for the council's support and the hard work being put into this effort by city departments."

the district doesn't want to leave those students out the inside of a city bus is a warm haven from the bitter temperatures outside.if i couldn't ride the bus, i'd have to walkand for 11th- grader dakota potts, that walk -about a mile and a half.but when the weather is this cold- it feels like it's 10 degrees out, but i think the wind chill is like 0.there's no way students would be able to make it to school hurts when i walk to my car. i can't imagine walking 2 miles to school.so the school district of janesville offers a special program during the winter months.my adviser says when it's cold like this, she's able to give me bus tokens.tokens 4 teens gives bus tokens and gas cards to low-income families who don't have a way to get their students to school.it's a needed program.the program is funded by donations and is widely used in the district. last year we went through

another 100 gas cards.but this year, donations are down.i'm roughly probably cut in half of what i was getting last year. so as requests come in to me, i try to fill them as fast as i can, but i can't fill all of them.for the families she can't give bus tokens or gas cards to, kulinski tries to help them as best she can.sometimes they have to find a ride with another family in the neighborhood and we brainstorm ideas of get to school during the winter months.but she's hoping more donations come in so she can keep students like dakota warm on their way to school.if i had to walk in this weather, i'd probably get frostbite or something coming up... gun proposal-- the university that could become the first college to have a certified outdoor shooting range on campus. and -- getting started-- when the 2017 tax filing season kicks off and the new deadline to

a four-year-old boy was found wandering along a highway in china.police said the boy was kept looking around.an officer took the boy to a safe area. after about an hour, the officer found the boy's mother in a village nearby.the mother said as soon as she couldn't find him, she started looking for the boy, but didn't expect to find him on the more than 100 active duty and reserve military got the five-star treatment in dallas, texas. they were given courtside seats to the mavericks game.it's all part of a unique program called "seats for soldiers". the goal is to give a special night to those who serve and protect.
