twistee treats... except for a couple of iowans. that was kendra conlon reporting. there are some dangers-- that come along with the cold weather. we're breaking down "4-ways"-- to prevent most "heat- related fires." first-- keep anything that can burn-- at least 3- feet away from heating equipment-- like the furnace, fireplace, wood stove, or portable space heater. have a 3-foot "kid-free zone" around open fires and space heaters. never use your oven to heat your home. and remember to turn off "portable heaters"-- when leaving the room-- or going to bed. ### hundreds of people from flint, michigan protested as the state's governor delivered his "state of the state" speech tuesday. they blame him for not cleaning up the lead that poisoned the water in their city. people in flint have filed at least two class-action lawsuits against governor rick snyder over the state's handling of

address, the governor apologized several times for the water crisis, pledging to do all he can to help reverse the damage. but, health officials say the effects of lead exposure may be permanent. governor snyder has asked lawmakers for nearly 30-million dollars to replace plumbing in schools, daycares, and hospitals. he says the state will pay for medical and behavorial treatment for affected children. you just heard from a survivor of the sarasota tornado. 74-year-old nancy devito was trapped in her second story bedroom after the walls and roof came
