county. police were on the scene of a possible homicide in plant city. police tell us family members found 36 year old 'reginald brown' dead inside his home on east ohio street. they said it appeared he'd been shot. police are now trying to figure out what led to brown's death. an apartment complex in lakeland that caters to the elderly and disabled went up in flames, and left one person dead. 10 news reporter garin flowers shows you the one thing firefighters say could have made a difference. pkg: the exterior of bella vista manor is a reminder of what

sot it's just a sad thing. the fire alarm for the 5 story independent living facility sounded off around 4:30 a-m. inside was 41 residents - many elderly and disabled. terry rimes delivers medicine to some of the residents. sot it makes it a little more personal because it may be somebody that i have delivered to in the past before. one person died in the blaze. lakeland fire fighters evacuated the rest of the building, three had to go to the hospital. sot it doesn't matter if i know them or not it's still tragic, no doubt about it. according to lakeland fire, they arrived minutes after the alarm windows on the fourth floor. they believe it room where dead. sot every family member should make sure their loved ones are in a safe place. it was a parent's gloria lawson. building. it took her hours to find out he was safe. sot relief, that's just like a burden came down. you know you're up in gear riding over here and just to see his face is a big

believe two people - in separate cars - drinking and driving collided head on in oldsmar. pinellas county say kimberly sich- ter-man - was hit by an alleged drunk driver - damon mcbride who was headed the wrong way on tampa road near race track road...around 11:15 mcbride ran away passenger chased him down. believe kimberly driving under the influence - and they arrested her as well. just a few hours later - state troopers say 21 year old 'adam weaver' was driving the wrong way and with two people inside...on east highway 301 in tampa. thirty sunday morning. charged with dui. no one was seriously hurt.# that massive storm that dumped and killed 25 people atlantic and east coast....is now gone. but for millions of people...it could

the streets, so our first responders have the freedom to get to emergencies. meanwhile, airports are trying to get stranded passengers off the ground--- nearly 12- thousand flights have been cancelled since friday. craig boswell, cbs news, washington. and around here...no snow...but we're still looking at temperatures that have been dropping into the 30s for some of us. and because of the weather, an important travel alert too! the winter storm has left thousands of travelers stranded at airports across the country.... and tampa international airport is no exception. 10 news reporter mark rivera shows you how so many families are working to get home. a lot of red on that board... one of those flights cancelled was going to take alexis valentino-capurso and her family from their tampa cruise back to new york. but at least they're away from multiple

international. and since not they travel... we set out to see how the weather is passengers at station in tampa... trips heading north of charlotte, north carolina have been cancelled until the weather up there clears up. even florida got its own taste of the snowy weather over the weekend. gainesville and jacksonville enough for tiny snow flurries to fall. snow flurries can form when there's a mix of cold weather and sprinkles. while they're not that uncommon in other states...they are a rare sight here in florida. an important notice if you live in port richey.

a courtroom outburst from a miami man accused of shooting and wounding a police officer.... that 23-year-old was arrested for allegedly ambushing a police officer in a drive-by shooting. when he went before a judge...he claimed his life was in danger...and said he was protecting himself from police.

client is mentally ill. time now for stories making headlines around the nation and the world. this is your 60 second scan. we begin in alaska...where many people were rocked out of their sleep yesterday...in the middle of the night...due to a 7- point-1-magnitude earthquake. the quake lasted about 30 seconds..rattling buildings, knocking out power for thousands, and leading to homes being evacuated. one house exploded after a gas leak. thankfully, no one was seriously hurt. today, malaysia is sending a team of investigators to thailand to inspect a large piece of debris that a fisherman found washed up on a beach. investigators will be looking to see if the object belongs to the malaysia airlines m-h-370 flight. it vanished almost two years ago...with 239 people on board. states across the country are making changes to help seniors drive safer. new signs are being installed along highways that have larger letters and are easier to read - giving seniors more time to react.
