on the fence.. and families. in sarasota, kendra conlon, 10 news wtsp family members tell us-- they now plan to work with the newtown community to help clean up the entire historic cemetery. an american airlines pilot was about to land at miami international airport when he spotted a drone right in his flight path. the flight from chicago was just 500 feet above the ground on final approach... when it happened.

designated as "no fly zones" for drones. u-s senator bill nelson released a statement about the incident saying quote "finding a way to implement the technology needed to prevent this kind of dangerous situation near our nation's airports will be one of my top priorities." new information out of sarasota... after 8 hours of public comment on wednesday, the county commission approved an ordinance banning the retail sale of dogs & cats from commercial breeders. they're commonly known as puppy mills. the county joins 40 other local governments in the state with bans. it takes effect in a year. the "american civil liberties union" is calling for an investigation of law enforcement statewide. this comes after the group released a new study finding that in 2014 florida law enforcement ticketed black motorists for seatbelt violations nearly twice as much as white motorists. the report states tampa police officers issued 575 seatbelt citations to black motorists and 549 white motorists in 2014.

the seige. but wednesday night, bundy urged them to stand down and go home. the american red cross needs your help! there is an "emergency need" for blood and platelet donors. donations will help boost the supply...diminished by the weekend's snowstorm. the storm canceled more than 300 red cross blood drives in 20 states. it also followed the "holiday season"...when blood donations typically drop off. and medical marijuana will once again be on the ballot in florida. election officials say the group "united for care" gathered enough petitions to give voters a second chance to have a say in this hotly debated issue. the amendment will need 60- percent of the vote... to pass in november. last time around.. it fell short by a little less...than 3- percent. "tampa fire rescue"-- has a new lifesaving tool. the first assessment stabilization team or "fast" puts paramedics on bicycles. they can easily maneuver through large crowds where vehicles can't go.. in case of an emergency.
