many that could end up in the water. volunteers from the florida aquarium say this is all about keeping tampa bay beautiful for us to look at and safe for sea life to survive. we asked the volunteers what was the strangest thing they've found along the parade route. the answer? half- eaten turkey legs. new overnight, a death investigation is palmetto. it all started sunday morning when a palmetto police officer was following up on neighborhood complaints about a group of people coming and going from an abandoned house on 12th street drive - west. when the officer checked inside the house, she found 21 year-old collin ma- honey dead from an apparent gunshot wound. no arrests have been made. another fatal wrong way crash to tell you about. investigators again suspect this one involved alcohol. it happened in the southbound lanes of county road 1 and burn-ham lane in dunedin. 10news reporter beau zimmer has the emotional story of

missed the collision only to have his best friend hit head-on. county road 1 dunedin scott souza partner beau zimmer sorenson. loved riding motorcycles. but don't let this photo fool you. 22:42:46 john, he's a big guy. and he's very intimidating. but he was a big teddy bear. on saturday. sorensen. and his close friend scott souza spent the day riding on clearwater beach. before an evening out to dinner. john, recently engauged with two sons. would never make it home. his motorcycle hit head on here on county road 1. by a dodge dorango. that deputies say was heading the wrong way down this divided highway. 36:03 i looked at the median and by the time i looked up i realized he was in my lane. i swivered to the right. thank god i was in the left lane. but my brother john was right behind me. and i don't think he ever saw him coming. 48:37 souza believes the truck that his friend was traveling between 50 and 60 miles per hour. when it came around the curve in the wrong direction.

to react. souza and his fianc narrowly missed being hit. only to hear the impact feet behind them. 36:27 you couldn't mistake that sound for anything else in the world. and we knew it. there's nothing you can do. a retired ny firefighter was among the first on scene. and started cpr. 18:18 motorcycle parts were all over the street. he hit against the side of the curb and was bleeding from the back of the head. so you know. it dodn't look good. john was flown to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. the driver of the dorango. kenneth cabral. now charged with dui manslaughter. 39:56 he couldn't even stand up. so i'm sure he was well behind the legal limit. a message on john's facebook page posted one month ago today. warns of the dangers of driving drunk. tonight. his riding parter. and entire family. feeling the real life consequences of how dangerous dui can be. 22:45:26 he was my best friend. he was my brother. and i love him. he was my family. in dunedin, beau zimmer, 10news wtsp. john's remains will be flown to his original home state of nebraska. friends say they're planning a memorial in pinellas county in the coming

right now the search is on for two teenagers who escaped from a juvenile detention facility in tampa. deputies say the teens have been on the run since 9:00 sunday morning. take a good look at 18 year old anthony bays and 17 year old anthony cook. deputies say they broke out of the fal-kenburg academy on columbus road escaping through a hole that had been cut in a chain link fence. they were last seen wearing green shirts and blue pants. they were being held for grand theft auto. right now crimestoppers is offering a 3- thousand dollar reward to anyone who can help track them down. a horrible month in jacksonville. 13 murder victims this month alone. the latest over the weekend, a toddler shot dead in a drive by shooting. 22-month-old aiden michael mcclendon was caught in the middle of a gang-related drive-by shooting friday night. he was with his mother and grandmother inside a parked car when someone pulled up in another car and opened fire at a nearby home. bishop john guns/operation save

incident is being investigated. instead of heading to the theme parks this weekend, tourists in orlando staying at the country inn and suites on universal boulevard woke up with a mess to clean up. police say up to 50 cars were broken into saturday night. the crooks busted out the windows and grabbed whatever they could. for several families they say their vacation is ruined. two other florida counties -- brevard and flagler -- had similar incidents happen at hotels just in the last month. while it's not clear if they're all connected, detectives say they're looking into it. half way through the florida python hunt, wildlife officials say there have been 66 pythons captured so far. the hunt got underway two weeks ago to help control the python population in the everglades. hunters say the weather has been a big help, especially days that are cold and sunny.
