in the last poll in today's vote trump holds the lead. among democrats bernie sanders holds a commanding lead over hillary clinton. for front run irs trump and sanders, it's much more than delegates at stake. remember, both got into this race as unexpected contenders. g gop opponents have to show that their campaigns deserve a closer look while hillary clinton tries to stop sanders' momentum going into the next one. the tie nigh community was first to vote and handed victory to john kasich. >> let's have a big, big victory tomorrow. >> but gop front-runner donald trump is still betting on a big

people are projected to turn out in record numbers to vote despite snow in the forecast. along with the weather, undecided voters are expected to play a huge role today. new hampshire primary is open famously to independents who make up 40% of registered voters. anne-marie? >> thank you, weija oomz. bloomberg an independent told the "financial times" he's looking at all the options. bloomberg says he finds the level of discussion a quote, outrage and he said he would need to get on state ballots by the beginning of march. we'll discuss a possible bloomberg candidacy and primary with bob schieffer coming up on "cbs this morning" this morning. >> this morning two passenger trains collided in southern germany.

dead and 150 injured, some seriously. the scene is chaotic and the final casualty count is unclear. the two regional trains collided head on. one derailed and two overturned. some remain trapped in the wreckage. another winter storm packing snow, strong winds and bitter cold is moving to the northeast voting in new hampshire. they're digging out from the latest blizzard that hit yesterday. some areas suffered hurricane-force winds and heavy snow. a charter bus overturned yesterday in the middle of a snowstorm as it was headed from new york city to a cass ka see noe. the royal caribbean cruise ship "anthem of the seas" is expected to dock tomorrow morning. i had to turn around mid cruise.

calling for an investigation into why the ship sailed into a storm that had been forecast for days. jericka duncan reports. >> reporter: 20-foot waves and winds over 100 miles an hour forced the cruise ship to make a u-turn one day after setting sale. george told us via skype his balcony door appeared to be lifting away from the frame. >> you called hear the waves twisting away from the hull and metal twisting. it was scary. >> reporter: they were heading to fort canaveral, florida, when it got caught in a storm. jarret johnson shot this video. >> at one point people were falling over and they were saying hold the wheelchair. so myself and others were standing over holding the wheelchair so they weren't going

>> reporter: while the worst is over, george is worried. >> we're rocking a lot and it makes me wonder if there are issues with the stabilizer on the ship. >> royal caribbean said the ship experienced wind speeds higher than what was forecast. the coast guard reported winds up to 150 miles per hour when the storm hit. president obama wants congress to come up with nearly $2 billion to fight the zika virus. u.s. health officials say the money would be used to expand mosquito control, work on a vaccine and research on birthday defects that zika is said to cause. the president said there shouldn't be a panic on this. this morning kenya's olympic committee says kenya known for his middle and distance runners could pull out of the olympics over zika concerns.

a scary moment caught on camera in southern california. the roof covering the pumps of gas station collapses with two workers on top. one person was hurt. the other rode the wreckage down to safety. a car underneath was damaged by the falling awning. well, fresh off a super bowl win and likely his last nfl game, peyton manning got a warm welcome on disneyland's main street. he made the same trip after the colts won in 2006. the broncos' qb still hasn't announced whether he's retired. meantime the broncos touched down in denver monday afternoon after celebrating a night in santa clara.
