three riots at local juvenile detention centers. two teens recently escaped. tonight we are learning how many 911 calls to these facilities are costing you, the taxpayer. good evening, bay area juvenile detention facilities are supposed to be putting troubled teens on the right path. >> tonight we have uncovered problems on the inside 911 calls for there is 10 of the state-funded facilities right here in the bay area all privately run by the company. tonight, 10news reporter kendra conlon is digging deeper into

burden on you to fix. >>reporter:we have seen the aftermath from riots. >> terry things off the walls >>reporter:fights and escapes caught on camera, inside bay area juvenile detention centers. arrested, accused of sex acts with a 18, leaders have been calling for change. >> the way juvenile justice is done in the state of florida, needs to undergo radical change. >>reporter:recently, two teens escaped from the tampa residential facility to -- through a hole in the fence only to be captured days later. two workers got fired, to others punished, is the latest in a long list of problems. we wanted to know just how many times police and deputies have been called out to these facilities. here's what we found at this columbus drive complex from 2012 or mid january 291 calls. 70% of the crimes -- cries for help turned out to be founded. reports of child abuse,
