bars and restaurants. and he's back this morning-- with what's coming next. hillsborough's public transportation commission took another step forward this morning in expanding a tampa ordinance to the rest of the county.... and adding some teeth to the law to penalize tow companies that violate it. we showed how tampa had a law on the books that prohibits tow trucks from patrolling bar and restaurant parking lots overnight. that way, intoxicated drivers have one more incentive to find alternative rides home. sot the importance of keeping dangerous drivers off the road was magnified yesterday morning, when a tow truck driver was struck and killed on the side of the howard frankland bridge. but the conversation was not without criticisms. the attorney for one of the tow companies mentioned in our report dug his heels in.
