couple says another driver cut them off - nearly running into them... they admit - they confronted him... never imagining they'd wind up dodging bullets on their way to work. tami says all she could think about was making it home safe to their five kids - ages 7 to 14... the car is now in pieces after bullets hit the side of the camero, exhaust - and tire. the couple called 911 and met police at a nearby gas station. a short time later a deputy spotted accused shooter arlan osborne and arrested him. chris and tami are holding each other a little tighter... knowing they'll never handle another road rage run in - the same - again. in palmetto kendra

child's school bus sign. why? because they're on their cell phone! get this: drivers "are allowed to use their phone while driving. some bay area policies banning phones- but few are enforced. road warrior hilary zalla has spent weeks on this story. some alarming "flaws in the system." rememeber this video? it went viral three years ago showing a hillsborough county school bus driver texting. kathryn "it makes me not want to put my children on a bus" kathryn barrett and steffany rodriguez- neely both have children in hillsborough county public schools. they're also members of tampa bay moms group. it's a forum where school bus safety has been a hot topic. steffany: "youve got the most important thing in the world to me on that bus. and if you can't appreciate the responsiblity and your cell phone is more important,

district in our area bans its bus drivers from using a cell phone...but the drivers can keep the phone close for emergencies. i started asking questions and i found that often, complaints aren't recorded. and i found that in some cases, bus drivers aren't held accountable. check this out. county by county, here are the cell phone violations in the past 3 years.. polk county recorded 21 violations - they are strict and discplined.. polk suspends drivers for 5 days for their first offense.. now sarasota county has zero.. the district tells me it had complaints, but none were proven. the reports in most cases show the district questioned the driver if he or she was using a cell phone while driving. if the driver said "no"... case closed. hilary "this is the pinellas county transporation dispatch center. every county has one...this is where most of the calls come in when you report a complaint. they can also review the school bus video here and confirm if a report is legitimate." the hillsborough county transportation department says it checks the video
