isabel mascareas is getting answers about what else can be done to protect the everglades. >> look at that. >> reporter: florida's second python challenge in the everglades captured 106 snakes. >> you can barely see that. >> reporter: deep in the brush pythons easily camouflaged. when caught can put up a fight. that's what the snake in this bag did. >> it kept wrapping up trying to twist out. >> reporter: the last challenge was in 2013. >> i love it. i like competition. i love the outdoors. i don't think we'll ever cure the problem here. there is just so many. animals. in the florida everglades

>> reporter: no animal is off limits. pythons will even take on alligators and swallow them whole. thousands of pythons are in the everglades. with females lying 50 to 100 eggs they don't know for sure. why not hold the python challenges annually. >> there is a lot of work. quite honestly i don't know if we had it every year. we are hopeful we can make it. we don't know if we'll be able to completely eradicate them from the everglades. >> reporter: public education might, at the least, help control the python population. isabel mascareas 10 news wtsp. >> fwc says there are other the year. we posted all the information and videos on how to properly capture a python on our website and our free app. search and download the wtsp app from your app store.

pinellas county beaches that could save lives. this is one of 78 rip current warning signs going up along the coastline. all of it comes after the death of 9-year-old cameron bullard. he was pulled under by a rip current off passe grille beach in october. digging deeper 10 news learned none of the signs will be placed where he lost his life. the signs will be placed along county operated beach access parks. it is up to the cities to place their own signs. one commissioner plans to take it further. >> on any beach in pinellas county and you are with family and friends and you have a heart attack or something else goes on besides drowning, they don't know where they are. we are going to put street numbers. >> the commissioner hopes council will discuss awareness signs soon. voters are casting ballots

the presidential nomination. early voting support and running in hillsborough and polk counties. voters don't identify with the democrat or republican parties won't be able to vote. 34,000 people in hillsborough voted by mail. a push to take control of a problem seen across our area. you might have noticed signs telling you it is illegal to dump unwanted trash at charitable dropoff locations. we show you the mess and how a county is trying to fix it. >> we are looking at a charitable donation bin that turned into a dump site. >> reporter: old mattresses, ripped up couches, old tires and an oven are signs of people treating some donation sites like the county landfill. is. it has been spray painted over. >> reporter: not knowing who to call to clean up the mess leaves the county's hands tied.

dumping trash there instead of handling it the way they should. it looks really bad. >> if the county commissioners could find a resolution that would be good. >> i brought it up to come up with ideas on how to cure this. it is turning bad. this isn't the only one. >> reporter: pasco county commissioner moore wants the county to come up with a solution that won't hurt ligitimate organizations. salvation army tells me they try to be a good area to the neighbor with surrounding donation center drop boxes. in tampa they had a shut a center down completely because of till legal dumping. >> maybe the solution is putting a fence around the bins and having somebody from the organization come in the morning and unlock it and at night lock it again. >> reporter: the county added code enforcement officers. >> you can't stake the place out 24-hours a day making sure no one is dumping. >> you can take a closer look

florida fish and wild life officers are reminding you not to flash picks of sea turtles at night. that light scares a female turtle and make her return to the ocean without laying her eggs. reminder to buckle up across the bay area. click it or ticket seat belt enforcement drive starts tomorrow. if you are caught unbuckled you could face a $30 fine. too many arrests at country side high school. clearwater police officer long is the school resource officer. she came up with something called team court. basically the volunteer public service class takes troubled teens and sentences them to positive consequences. the difference at country side is dramatic. >> i had 17 arrests last year. i had zero arrests from crimes that happen on campus. i'm able to put them in this teen court. >> long said she has had

today it's florida flatbread with fresh tomatoes and bell peppers. let's start by spreading olive oil and garlic on our flatbread. then we add cheese; but what really makes this dish special are the florida bell peppers, and juicy tomatoes. when the cheese is melted and bubbly it's done. just cut and serve. and that's how easily florida flatbread with tomato and sweet bell peppers can become a meal time favorite.

i'm not concerned that it looks to be a big problem. we are expecting march 1st high temperatures to be around 73 to 75 degrees. we'll be a touch above. about 77. if you enjoyed today you'll love tomorrow. even warmer. with the winds slowly turning to the southwest. that will allow for many suburbs to hit around 80 to 83 degrees. tampa official temperature 79 degrees in the metro. again, lakeland, plant city and new port richey 88. good day to be on the water. offshore waves two feet. looking at smooth conditions around the bay. winds 8 knots or less. low tide in the middle of the night.
