in land o lakes. nice and sunny skies and again no rain that we are seeing close to home. however, we are still tracking this cutoff low over northern mexico in the rio grande valley. basically what that means is a cutoff from the jet stream to the north, that is so like a steering wheel in the car. where returns, that's where your car will go. when they separate, they wander and make their own way. it takes days to move the system out of here. on top of severe weather, flooding concerns for houston, dallas, up to louisiana, arkansas comment this for the next few days likely. one round of rain goes through, another system fires up. this is actually strengthening. we're looking for snow tomorrow in the mountains of mexico as this winds up. it's also the reason for the wind.
