kids: in davenport, kendra conlon, 10news wtsp if you recognize the man-- he's in his 40's to early 50's with a salt and pepper goatee: call the polk county sheriff's office-- or "heartland crimestoppers." state health officials say-- they've identified the first case of zika-- being sexually transmitted in florida. two new cases of the virus were confirmed in polk county. officials say-- one person contracted it after they traveled outside the country. and another person got it after having sex with someone who traveled abroad. health officials urge men who have been to "outbreak areas"-- to abstain from unprotected sex. florida has confirmed 52 cases of zika, all were travel-related. time now is .

at headlines around the nation and the world in 60 seconds. the nation's first uterus transplant failed. the cleveland clinic says the 26- year-old woman seemed to be recovering well after her surgery in late february. but, doctors say she experienced a complication and they removed the organ tuesday. the hospital is exploring what went wrong, but plans to continue the transplants. if planes weren't packed enough -- united airlines is adding another seat to each economy row. on several of its planes, seats will be ten across instead of nine. the seats will be added beginning this may and completed by 2017. but there is good news -- united is adding power outlets to the seats and planes will have wi-fi. a sanford substitute teacher is now banned in seminole county public schools. holly joel's accused of being intoxicated while in a classroom full of second graders at bentley elementary. the 52-year-old is charged with child neglect, disorderly intoxication and disturbing the peace. alleged corruption in "hardee county"-- back in the 10 investigates

"investigator mike deeson" explains-- one of the people at the center of approving a "multi- million dollar grant"-- is under investigation. this complaint filed with the state ethics commission says there is probable cause that the man who was chairman of the public body that gave representative grant the money, violated state ethics law. rick justice the head of the hardee county industrial development authority who signed the deal with grant was also the president of the first national bank of wauchula. justice is now in trouble with the ethics commission because he voted to transfer public money from another bank to his, which allowed his bank to profit. justice did not dispute the charges by the ethics commission, nor did he return our calls. justice faces a full hearing in front of the ethics commission. if found guilty he will most likely be fined. md 10 10 investigates good news: the spaghetti warehouse in ybor city is no longer closing! the company says

continues to put you at risk. for a ninth year running now, the governor and legislature will not give a salary boost to most of the state's one-million workers. that's despite another year of record revenues! and one place those tight budgets are felt is the department of corrections in charge of prisons and probation. we've shown the starting salary for a probation officer pales in comparison to their counterparts here in the bay area.. which has prevented the state from hiring qualified officers. that means felons re-introduced to the community don't have proper supervision. which, we know, has led to some of them committing new, violent crimes. this is just one example of what happens when you slash budgets and don't replenish them.. and it's happening all across florida. however, there are some employees who will get raises.... the politically- connected supervisors of election in each county. they'll get about 20 grand each....when most already make more than 100 grand a year. your legislature at work. noah pransky, 10 investigates.

sisters share everything! for these bay area sisters that couldn't be more true. sarah hittmeier and crystal wingate live next door to each other. they were expecting to have their babies around the same time. but their baby boys had other plans. on tuesday, the sisters went into labor and were placed in adjacent rooms at st. joseph's women's hospital. hittmeier's son, liam, was born 13 minutes before his cousin wyatt. coming up on 10 news this morning, ahead of the florida primary, the democratic candidates will be in town today. we will break down why our state is so important for all of the candidates. parts of texas are under a flood warning this morning after being hit hard by heavy rain and strong
