to disrupt donald trump five times. look at the video. you can see the protesters getting taken out one chanting hate won't win! no violence for those protesting inside. one woman told me she sees donald trump as a rock star. it started with trump's florida campaign chair asking are you ready to put the death nail in marco rubio's campaign. >> what is next? i hope i win ohio. beauty would be if we win florida and ohio we can go in and attack hillary. no more attacking each other. >> reporter: this is trump's second stop of the day. he is on his way to ohio. hitting three of the biggest places before tomorrow's voting.

convention center, i have to tell you a bit of a surprise here. one trump supporter says he kind of understands what many of the protesters are saying. we'll have that part of the story for you tonight at 6:00. for now we are live in downtown tampa, tammy fields 10 news wtsp. senator marco rubio is trailing donald trump from the polls. he is making one last push for votes in his home state. volunteers spent the day phone banking while marco rubio stopped in west palm beach and melbourne. midwest. ohio governor john kasich is state. voters will head to polls democratic canidates are going after trump. bernie sanders and hillary clinton explained the chaos surrounding trump during a town hall meeting. >> donald trump is inciting

>> he is trafficking in hate. >> polls show clinton leading here in florida and in ohio. sanders is ahead in illinois. both have been campaigning all over the place. today alone sanders was in ohio, north carolina, st. louis and chicago. hitting every state that votes tomorrow. clinton made stops in illinois and charlotte with former president bill clinton campaigning in greenville, north carolina. neither sanders or clinton stopped in florida. there is a lot at stake here. 246 delegates are up for grabs including super delegates. at 5:30 we'll break down what the super delegates are and why they matter. if you have already voted you are not alone. huge early voting numbers could have an impact on the races for both parties. we are putting that part of the story together at 6:00. when the results start rolling in tomorrow night make sure you have the free 10 news app. download it to your phone.

the florida primary and what is going on in other states. a major development in a story 10 investigates first broke last fall regarding behind the scenes dealings in hillsborough county. state attorney will not file any criminal charges related to the issuing of the go hillsborough contracts. 10 investigates showed how elected officials were communicating with consultants and deleting public records. state attorney said today their actions failed to cross into criminal wrong doing. noah pransky is digging deeper. you'll get hit full report at 6:00. a hero is how a hillsborough deputy killed in a wrong-way crash is being remembered tonight. fellow deputies are calling him a colleague and a friend. sheriff's office said he died saturday morning when eric bass was driving on the wrong side of the selmon expressway and hit him head-on.

>> i want the people to know that he did his job and he did his job with pride. you can tell by his family and the long line of law enforcement personnel that were there. tonight we are hearing from the woman who spotted that crash and called 9-1-1. investigators in maryland say the man who shot and killed a police officer wanted to die during a gun battle with police. instead that man is in the hospital and three of his brother are under arrest. the police chief said the man started shooting at the first officer he saw outside of a police station on sunday. that set off a shootout between the suspect and other officers. the officer killed was a four year veteran. a branch of al queda says

on a popular beach spot in west africa. 18 people were killed. this cell phone video shows tourist running from the ivory coast beach resort when attackers started shooting. that lasted for hours until special forces shot and killed the militants. iraq military forces say they have in custody an american man who joined isis but quit and turned himself in. the man is a 27-year-old from virginia. according to a record he deflected from isis after fighting with the group for months. he was trying to go back to turkey when he approached a group of iraqi's. the u.s. embassy is working to identify the man's identity. he claim his father is palestinian and his mother iraqi. there are a dozen american citizens fighting for isis in iraq and syria.

pete courtroom as week two of the hogan sex tape trial is underway. a phase of one of the main witnesses took center stage today in the courtroom. 10 news reporter jennifer titus is joining us live. certainly something everybody wants to know is bubba the love sponge going to testify. >> reporter: today the judge signed a subpoena saying he won't have to testify in front of the jury. she says he is so untrust worthy it is just not worth him taking the stand. that went down today in the courtroom as well as a.j.'s testimony. he posted the video. he is gawker's former editor in chief. when he was answering questions about the defense it was mostly about his career. he said he wanted to write about celebrity sex tapes when the tape fell into his lap. he wanted to clear when he said last week in a deposition that

child is at least four. he said he was just being sarcastic and thought the lawyers knew he was telling a joke. when hogan's attorneys cross examined him they did not find it to be a laughing matter. >> those are your words? >> yes. >> are you laughing now? >> no. >> your testimony is that you were laughing. >> not outloud laughing but a smirk. >> you don't think it is that serious to you. >> it is very serious. >> reporter: out here live, he says after he post had the sex tape the traffic on gawker.com did go up. it also went up after hogan started talking about it and filed a lawsuit. hogan is suing gawker for $100 million over the leaked sex tape. the founder of gawker took the stand today. his testimony will continue tomorrow morning. we'll have that live at 9:00 a.m. live in st. pete jennifer titus 10 news wtsp.

aunts and uncles suffered from the disease. today their father, just 63 years old is fighting it, too. >> it is unlike anything else. it strips you of who you are. i just had my first child. that was hardest for me to know my kid will never know pop like i know my dad. >> reporter: both say relatives rationalize the trend as a string of bad luck. >> my grandma used to say live life before you are 50. after 50 you never know after that. >> reporter: they each learned they have a 50/50 chance of a genetic mutation that guarantees they'll develop early on-set alzheimer's. marty declined the test. >> while it is possible it could steal joy in our lives later. we don't want to it steal any now.

you can see the st. pete clearwater airport 28. it is a tale of two stories. sea breeze, because the winds are from the west, have cleared out. the beach is gorgeous from our sky 10 network. around tampa and the bay it is humid and you can see the haze in the air as well as at times some of the clouds that have been pushing off to the east. look at the temperatures. 87 in lake wales. that's down. i saw 88 last hour. sea breeze kicked in. we are 72 in clearwater. that's definitely the difference of being closer to the water, which is cooler in showers, after last night scattered showers continue to hold on. we had a few earlier this morning. as they moved late morning and med day most of the clouds have been trailing with it. even though the skies are clearing out, we are still seeing a lot of humidity at the surface.

lead to is either a low cloud deck tonight after 10:00 or 11:00. but for some of us patchy, dense fog will be possible. starting to really get it together around 11:00 to 1:00 a.m. it looks like for the morning commute, patchy fog will be possible. i think our model is overdone. i don't think it blankets everybody with below a mile visibility. it really helps illustrate that we will, for the first time see the chance of wide spread dense pockets of fog. i would be ready if you are on the roads late tonight. if you are up early for the early morning drive. there will be some pockets until 7:00 or 8:00 a.m. or less. then we will look for clouds and any low fog and maybe a little light mist to push on mid to late morning. get you some sunshine. time in four or five days.

hour near the water. look at the high temperatures. around 86 dade city. 87 wesley chapel. low 80s tampa near the bay and the gulf beaches. i-75 and east will be up around 87 to 88 degrees. 80 in sarasota. we'll be flirting with 90s in the heart land tomorrow. lakeland, winter haven and around sebring. only two tides tomorrow. low tide is up first. as you can see on the beach and boating forecast. it should settle to calm waters later in the afternoon. coming up in the 5:30 half hour we'll talk about this. this is what i mean by we have a lot coming your way this week. st. patrick's day more cloud cover. north of tampa an isolated shower is possible. we have a front coming in friday evening. right around quitting time with a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. not just showers.

more than 17 million people across the south are cleaning up from severe weather. hail, tornadoes and deadly flooding. >> it is terrible to hold your kid at night and watch them cry because they lost everything. >> in louisiana four deaths have been blamed on the flooding. rain pushed lakes and rivers to levels not seen in decades. look at this video from missouri. you can see the floodwater rushing down the street into a gas station parking lot. emergency crews are rescuing a driver whose car got stuck in that water. you can see how difficult it is to walk safely across that street. a wild crash between a bus and car, something that could not usually make headlines. this time it was caught on camera from every angle. take a look. this is video captured by the

the car right there in the wrong side of traffic slams into that pole. keeps right on going hitting that bus head-on. to the other angle where this man, waiting at the bus stop sees what is going on. doesn't hesitate at all to run for his life. now check out what was happening on the bus. unfold. imagine how scary that is. they braced for impact. after they rushed to help the driver out of that car. the driver told police he blacked out and doesn't remember crossing that median. he says he took cold medicine earlier that day. the driver is not facing any charges. a spoiler alert on social media. the major investigation now underway to find out what leaked the ncaa bracket online. >> i think he is the most amazing man. he died a hero.
