with less than 20-grams of marijuana instead of charges them with a misdemeanor crime. the first time it is a $75 fine that goes up each time they're caught. >> this should be done at a state level legally. >> if it is illegal, you shouldn't have it. >> reporter: the critics say there is no mandatory drug counseling in the ordinance and worry money won't be a big enough deterrent. >> after four arrests, clearly a person is heading down a wrong path and not toward the path of employment. >> if the officer sees a pattern, they absolutely can and most likely will go to jail. >> and an outstanding warrant or another crime along with the pop possession will also land you in lock-up. >> the bottom line is it is still legal. >> the state attorney's office tells me it will potentially cut down on hundreds of cases that won't have to be handled by the clerk's office, prosecutors, public offenders, judges and jail staff. exactly how much money this will save taxpayers yet to be seen. wtsp.

will roll out the policy change to officers and be ready to enforce it in the coming week or two. st. pete is considering similar changes. right now polk county deputies need your help finding the person who stole a car with a toddler inside. the deputy says a woman who was supposed to be watching a 2- year-old boy left him in her car while she went into the pharmacy on north church avenue. she left the keys in the ignition and when she came out, the car and thed the leer -- toddler were done. the deputies found that car with the child still inside just down the street at an auto zone. tonight the deputies need your help finding this man seen on surveillance cameras. they're calling him a possible suspect. call the sheriff's office itch you mow who he is. a firefighter facing up to 15 years in prison. the investigators say the 43- year-old persuaded an under aged female to text him naked

say his is still employed by the fire department, but he is on paid administrative leave while the county gathers facts related to the cates. and declared total war on donald trump. and anonymous says it is making good on its promise. the group claims to have posted its social security number and cell phone online. the stop trump movement is gaining traction among republicans a group of conservative activists and lawmakers met behind closed doors to discuss al sterntives to the gop front runner. trump warns any plans to derail his candidacy could lead to voter riots. meanwhile, on the democratic side, bernie sanders conceded defeat in the tight missouri democratic primary. he lost by less than 1% of the total votesment sanders said that he will not seek a recount. tomorrow law enforcement officers from around the country will be in the bay area to honor a hillsboro deputy killed in a wrong way wash.

i think other than a stray shower for early friday morning commute, i would be surprised if you see much more than that. so the one trade off and the help here is that with more clouds building in, that should help limit the fog threat. we will also likely see a little more surface wind, too. the dew points have been down a degree or two. so all of these elements are just enough to give us just more patchy, dense fog. here is the front. we talked about that is going to stall out and it has been doing so the last hour or two. it might even retreat before these other lows can kick across. and with the energy and a lot of moisture out in the gulf, the expectation is that rain is going to be in the forecast here in a couple of days. now, for friday, take a look. you can see we clear out. again, patchy fog. really expecting to be more isolated in nature. i want to give you the head's

quite a bit different from what we saw. as we are going through our forecast and looking for us to find a stray shower possible as we go through the early morning hours and then picking up again after 10:00. we'll talk about the weekend typing of storms in just a moment. a light chop on the way. the westerly wind is looking to mainly be right about five to 15 miles per hour. now, 75 is the water temperature with cloudy skies if you're wanting to make it a beach day for friday. it is probably going to be the last day where you can get numerous hours in before showers and storms start to come into the mix. now, again, after a few stray shower force the morning, i'll be looking for storm tots increase for the second half of the day on saturday, and it will be a 60% to 70% coverage. going into sunday, the front will be coming through. so we'll still likely have showers for the first half of the day. i would just expect for the most part that you are going to
