6:16 pm
you know what it will be? it will actually be what it should be for this time of the year, which is 80, 81 degrees. we have been running 85, 86, 87 degrees. there is downtown st. pete. obviously the marina. it's going to be crowded this weekend with the wine and food festival going on. beer night's tonight. head on out. fantastic out there. 78 right now in st. pete. 80 across the bay in tampa. same thing in sarasota. lakeland's checking in with 79 degrees. so new port richey, look at this, st. pete, clearwater, new port richey, brooksville, crystal river all in the upper 70s with the wind that's coming in off of the water. it actually made it a little bit on the cooler side because the wind turned west-northwest. no rain right now. one shower right here. it's falling apart. i don't think it will make it. you could get a sprinkle out of it. it was bigger when it was south of wiffla. there is a front coming from the north. you can see a couple of showers
6:17 pm
but citrus, hernando into sumpter county i think we could see a sprinkle. pasco a very small chance. the timing citrus, hernando, 9:30, 10:00. pasco closer to midnight. it's as the front comes through. on the other side is the drier and slightly cooler air. the winds will shift with that front. that's one of the things we look for to know where the front is. right now the winds out of the west-northwest ahead of it. later this evening they are gonna turn around front and that's that cooler drier air coming in. you see the wind there? you see that change there? that's 2 in the morning. that's the beginning of that dryer air coming in. dew points in the mid-60s will drop down into the upper 50s, which is subtle. it will be up to 80, 81 degrees, but it will feel a whole lot more comfortable. it will be slow to happen overnight tonight. we are in the 70s and mid-60s by the morning.
6:18 pm
little bit drier already and more so as we work our way through saturday afternoon. 81 on saturday. generally, the upper 70s at the coast. i think low 80s away from the water both saturday and sunday. don't forget we end daylight saving time saturday night into sunday morning. sunday at 2 a.m., technically. push the clocks back an extra hour and enjoy that extra hour of sleep. you might need it if you are the wine and food festival. it's going to be fantastic weather for it. keep in mind it will be out in the sunshine. they will have the tents. if you are standing in the sunshine it will feel worm warm -- warmer than 80 degrees. there is the dry air. that's what we're gonna get some of to make it a pleasant weekend coming up. i think it sticks around into next week. rain chance stays less than 10% this weekend. same thing next week, although look the temps. closer to average through
