didn't belong behind the wheel. >> reporter: a tow truck hauled away wreckage of the school bus that carried 35 wood more elementary school children. it flipped over on its side and wrapped around a tree killing one boy and four girls. >> three in the 4th grade, one in kindergarten, one in the first grade. jasmine mateen lost one of her three children. the mother made serious allegations about the driver to cbs before the bus flipped that he was speeding around the curve and asked them are y'all ready to die? >> reporter: police arrested the bus driver and charged him with five counts of vehicular homicide. >> just last week he told the kids to shut the f up, he got a hangover. >> reporter: for hours crews worked to remove kids from

the tampa bay bucs are scoring big today. >> it is turkey time. for a decade this has been going on. there are full thanksgiving meals for those in need. we are talking all the fixings. ryan, there are families lined up already. i can see the food behind you. it is game on. >> oh, it is game on. you see all the meals behind me, 1000 families in be getting a thanksgiving meal today courtesy of turkey time with the bucs o line. this event has been going on since 2007, 1000 meals is the most in program history. you want to know what's in these. there is the pie. i usually eat my dessert first. here is the pie of course. you've got the mashed potatoes, 10 to 12-pound turkey, fresh

green beans. cranberries. i know some of you love cranberries. then the gravy. yes, we love to indulge on thanksgiving. this is the gravy that will be on the mashed potatoes. these families will be getting left over containers because we know that the best thanksgiving day meal is the one the day after thanksgiving. so there are a ton of left over boxes that in 10 or 15 minutes they'll start to hand out the thanksgiving day meals to families. this event will start at about 5:30 and wrap up about 7:30. it is an incredible event. when you think of thanksgiving, it is all about giving thanks and the bucs are certainly giving back. for ten years they have been doing this event. it is so fantastic. there will be a lot of people lined up out here. >> absolutely.

at this point. look at tarpon springs and clearwater, already in the 60s. new tampa is 70 or 71. those numbers obviously will continue to fall. dew points have crept up a little bit. there is more moisture in the atmosphere. it's still low so it will not fuel that humid but that number means we won't be as cold as we have been. we will still have clear skies and drop through the 50s. most of us will bottom out in the low to mid 50s tomorrow. this is what you wake wednesday, 53 plant city, same at apollo beach, 57 tampa, 56 sarasota. there will be some 40s. northern pasco, brooksville to crystal river as well. those are obviously normal cool spots. they'll be cool again tomorrow but not as cold. tomorrow is 80 for the high. it's certainly going to be on the warm side. sunset is around 5:35, pretty

tracking this system that's moving through the northern parts of the plains and into the great lakes. most of the snow with this should be north of chicago. they may get wet flakes initially but then it will change to rain. i am using chicago as an example because obviously it's a pretty popular place to fly through. the snow will be minneapolis north even though some areas will switch a little bit. speaking of snow, this is a big time difference from the lake effect machine has started to fall apart so conditions are better for travel in the northeast. there is still a lot of snow in up state new york to plow. this is tomorrow afternoon. you see rain through chicago tonight through tomorrow. then tomorrow night through the early part of thanksgiving, if you are traveling on thanksgiving the system moves through mid atlantic and northeast but it's spotty showers, snow in the higher elevations especially towards vermont, northern new york but

that's our 7th named hurricane of the season, otto. 75-mile per hour winds, tracking to the west. it will move to nicaragua and costa rica. we don't have a record, with hurricane force winds from a hurricane in costa rica. i think most of it will be in nicaragua. there are tropical storm watches and warnings in effect. there is the forecast for the weekend. we will be near 80 all the way through friday. this weekend's forecast is a little bit of a cool down from a slight weak front that comes through. there is not going to be a lot. you can see temperatures will be going back down into the 70s for the weekend and then right back up. next week is not only warm in the 80s but humid too.

again soon. it's that time of year where maybe you are thinking about putting up holiday decorations or stringing up those christmas lights. one mother says the ones she bought set her couch on fire. our reporter talked to the woman who says she only had them on a few minutes. >> i was shocked that they were that hot that quick. >> reporter: purchasing hundreds of dollars worth of christmas lights, she never expected this. >> i went in the feed the baby. when i came back out 15 minutes later i smelled something burning. i looked at the lights and they had burned a hole in our couch. >> reporter: the mother of two says she grabbed about a dozen holiday living clearly marked indoor and outdoor lights but her decorating plans went up in smoke. >> it could have burned our son had we put strands on the tree or decorations, no telling what else it could have burned.

christmas nightmares including dry trees up in flames, hover boards catching fire, this weekend a tonka truck bursting into a ball of flames in the bed of a pickup truck in washington state. we reached out to lowe's and the company says we have not heard of any situation but we are told that managers are working to make things right.
