wilson bridge and coming toward the interchange. we have a long line of traffic backing up because of a tanker truck that flipped over and caught fire. this is inner loop of the beltway as you try to make your way to the interchange from the wilson bridge. we are still waiting for fire units to respond to the scene. traffic is going single file to the left when they can allow traffic through. we're not sure what the contents are of this truck. the fire trucks are on the scene now. this is the inner loop of the beltway where traffic is blocked leaving the wilson bridge. again, all traffic stopped while they extinguish this fire. we're not sure about the injuries or what was on that truck. it was lly engulfed just moments ago. inner loop of the beltway coming from the wilson bridge

headed toward the springfield interchange, traffic is blocked. traffic slowing at saul road headed toward the split. that's your on time traffic. new this morning two montgomery county police officers on administrative leave following and early d ff d difire a . di weapon at the scene where a man died. >> this happened overnight in germantown. >> reporter: we do know that two officers here, at least one of them did fire their weapon here at this germantown neighborhood. police are saying one man has been confirmed dead, was shot but they are not going into the circumstances surrounding it at this point. that is still under investigation. this started about 2:40 this morning with a 911 call.

police arrived here andt 3:00 a.m. a call for assistance came out from police. whenother officers arrived, one man was found dead with a gun and knife next to his body. we don't know who fired or how many people fired or if this man indeed fired a weapon. neighbors have been coming out here very concerned, saying they have had issues in this neighborhood but have not seen anything like this before. >> they broke in, pushed the door open, pushed me aside, took my wife aside and were asking for drugs. they were looking for drugs. >> things been getting worse. i don't know what to expect now. >> reporter: both of those gentlemen you heard from, both said they have had their homes broken into here within the last couple years and have seen

additional police activity here. two police officers are also on administrative leave, one female officer and one male officer. police are telling us that at this point we are ruling out the possibility it was a burglary, a domestic situation or suicide. we're still get to go detail and waiting for information from the police. we'll bring it to you as we get it. prince william county police have launched and internal investigation to determine whether officers used excessive force when they tasered two people while trying to quiet down a backyard party. police arrived at the celebration of the baptism of two little boys. the 55-year-old man hosti the party was drunk, police say, and refused to turn down the musicor identify hymn to officers. the man's son says the police

tasered his father and the pregnant mother of the baptized boy. >> he took out his wallet and give his wallet to his wife. at the point when he lifted up his license, he started feeling the electric shocks in the back. >> she didn't assault an officer, she was assaulted by an officer. >> the pregnant woman s arrested and detained by immigration and customs enforcement. the family calls it excessive force and plans to take action. and a murder mystery in fairfax county, where police say a woman found dead in her home based business was targeted. a customer found her body and officers are hoping that this is not a random killing. police will not call this murder but will not rule it out in the death of a man found in his burning van in bethesda.

police found his body slumped over the steering wheel. 90 minutes earlier, video captured him leaving his part- time job in a gas station. the van did not crash. change of heart for the man who once led the lex andrea police department. david baker resigned a few days after he was arrested and charged with dui. monday baker said he didn't plan to step down. police said he failed six field sobriety tests. he's leaf with full retirement benefits. families are asking governor tim cane to reopen the caseof the virginia tech massacre after news that the counselor took home the mental health records. he is working to get the story about why those records were

removed. they are updang reports and correct errors or typos. the governor says reconvening the appointed members of the panel would be a problem because they were all volunteers when they served two years ago. more swine flu fears hitting close to home now. five senate paiges may have contracted the h1n1 virus. they are high school juniors primarily serving as messenger. pregnant women and health care workers are likely to get the vaccine first. pregnant women have been 6% of u.s. deaths from swine flu. that's a far greater percentage than pregnant make up in the general population.

morning after a shooting in germantown. police say a man was outside and apartment, a grand knife found next to his body. police say two of the officers who first arrived at the scene fired their weapons. it's not yet clear if gunfire is what killed the man. we'll go live to the scene at 8:00. in charles county, two suspects are accused of stabbing a man to death who they tried to rob. two men were outside a home when someone else came up and demanded their cell phones. affect broke out and that's when the victim was stabbed. more swine flu fears according to memo. five senate paiges may have caught the virus. they are under quarantine right now. protect win and health care workers are at the top of the vaccine list. the h1n1 shot is expected to be ready in october.

scene. a tanker truck flipped over and caught fire. what we can see through this haze is that trafficow to the left side of screen is temporarily blocked, nobody getting by coming from the wilson bridge ward the springfield interchange only inner loop. outer loop, some traffic is able to get through but delays on that outer loop coming from virginia to maryland are starting to stack up at the springfield iterclang. the truck flipped over and caught fire. the incident is on the upper loop of the bellway, which is closed rite now and delays beginning before you reach telegraph road. outer loop delays are squeezing by with a backup forming at the springfield interchange. we'll show you earlier footage

my lungs. i had difficulty with breathing, extreme fatigue, shortness of breath, wheezeness, babely flu like symptoms 24 hours a day. >> but you went to the doctor and had had this diagnosed? >> she ended up having a chest x-ray and there were findings on this and that's how she came to e and we were able to biopsy lymph nodes and make the diagnosis. >> when we talk about the people who have been diagnose with this, we've heard of a lot of them, affecting big name people. perhaps one of the ones that grabbed our attention last year was bernie mac, nhew he passed away. is this what caused the death? >> sort of. was also on steroids too, and sort of suppressing the

immune system. so he died of complications to pneumonia. >> kim, did you have a similar incident with this? >> yes. two week ago i was hospitalize window pneumonia and the sarcoidosis. i was hospitalized for about four days. as i laid in the hospital i thought about bernie mac and i'm just grateful what i was able the pull through and be here today to spread awareness about this issue. >> doctor, last the best way to be sure they don't become the next victim? >> if you have symptoms such as the flu like symptoms, especially prolonged for a long period, more than a we can tabor weeksen they should seek medical attention. >> and kim, you're doing a lot of work now. you had the leave the job because you had to seek care

some of d.c.'s biggest court cases. now artist phil hennessy is chronicling hicareer in a new book. he joins us this morning. welcome to the show. >> thank you very much. >> you're a trained fine artist, graduate t. rhode island school of design. how did you get involved in courtroom art? >> it's interesting that'll here for that question. the first case i ever covered, i was attending american university and someone called over from the news deck affidavit channel 5 and said we need and artist to cover a case in court, anyone willing to do it? i jumped at it figuring there would be competition. i was the only one who did. that was 27 years ago. >> did to bug get you then or did you see if it was

excitement in that? >> not exactly. i was kind of put off for a by. for an artist used to having the leisure time before the easel and suddenly thrust into a courtroom where i wasn't sure an arraignment from a trial, it was a new environment for me. they were happy with the results so they called me again and i went again and eventually became second nature. >> when you look through the pictures, they are so life like. it's almost as if you're look at photographs of what's hapning there.a lot of cameras just aren't allowed so you give us the eyes to see what's going on. this is a picture of then mayor marion barry. >> that's one of those key cases, especially for d.c. i was looking to foe only biggest cases d.c. had in the court systems here. this one i was looking for that
