mean less stress for wokers and fewer cars clogging roads. but what might push companies to telecommunitying. joining us, a public private partnership for teleworking. cindy peerson, thank you for joining us. we talked about the perk, do you consider it a perk for workers? >> we look at it as a top benefit. employees want telework. they rank it as the top three benefits when looking for a job now. >> the president has led this push hoping the federal government will pick this up and then hoping probably that it will trickle down to private sector. what has the response been like in the federal sector? >> very positive. we've been working on this for five plus years but telework has been around for decades. we're seeing a big benefit for employees but also for the environment and for agencies.

the impact on the environment. >> say that everyone is on board with this and in the future, down the road, is this something you can hire an employee to be 100% teleworking employee or is there always going to be some in the office time. >> in some cases -- some are setting up virtual offices around the country and you can be 100% telework. it is about the job you are doing. does it lend for a full time operation or do you have to come into the office once in a while. it's not an all or nothing proposition. just because you send someone teleworking doesn't mean they will be in their home office foreverment it's a flexibility to come into the office when you need to, but then don't clog the roadways when you don't have to. >> and before we let you go, we haven't talked about the human impact or factor of that. if i get to be in my own environment and don't have the stress of the commute, i would imagine that would make me happier. >> a lot. >> have you seen that. >> and you have a lot more time. you think about people sitting on the beltway, that is time

we're talking football from yesterday. just like the houston game this season, once again it came down to overtime. this time the redskins were victorus as they beat the packers 16-13 yesterday. dave ross joins us to celebrate this morning with our monday morning quarterback. >> steve, you know we're on facebook. you can follow us on facebook. so i posted this morning and i said, hey, join us for steve and i, to talk about this on monday morning and the redskins are 3-2, top of the division, how are they doing it? they are doing it with smoke and mirrors. and kathy said what do you mean by smoke and mirrors. >> please tell all of us. >> here is what i mean. all of a sudden you watch and you think the redskins are getting outplayed, they look terrible, they're going to get blown out and you look up in the 4th and they make one play and then they are winning. >> they are staying close.
7:41 am
>> and that's huge. because there's a team in dallas that has more talent that is not doing that. >> that's an argument. >> it is. and you should be happy redskins fans that you have a team that has some backbone and believe in the system that mike shanahan has in place and it's showing because they are not quitting. and last year's team would have quit. this year's team does not. >> here is one big difference between the team down in dallas you just mentioned, this team here in washington, the defense is playing so well that you only had to score 14 points yesterday to win the game. >> we talked about the defense last hour. now we're going to give a little props to the offense. because you look up and you say the offense is terrible, but in the second half they were much better. armstrong is making plays. he only had three catches but none bigger than this. down by 10, in the fourth quarter, game over, right? one big play 48 yards later and
7:42 am
then it's a three-point game because armstrong makes a great individual play, man on man and hauls it in. donovan mcnabb, you think he played terribly. he had over 357 yards passing to be exact, 26 of 49. so if you look up and you go, wow, where did that come from. well they hang in for the game. and another guy we have to give some props to is chris cooley. we're not talking about the offense, we're talking about the defense, but he had a huge reception. it's a 30-yard reception when they are down by 3 and look at him breaking tackles and that set up the tieing field goal before the 2-minute warning. so there is no quit on either side of the ball. yes, the defense kept them in it until the offense came around, which they finally did. >> it's so interesting because i circled in my mental notebook because i'm a nerd and i can't just enjoy the game and one thing i was going to talk about
7:43 am
-- >> you took notes for the segment. >> yes. this is not just amateur talk here. >> okay. >> before armstrong had the huge catch, i think up until that point, the only wide receiver that he had completed a pass to was santana moss. he was throwing to tight ends or running backs but they weren't stretching the field. once that happened, then it opened. >> and he had a great day. had well over 100 yards, 7 catches himself. big day for the wide receivers. it didn't look like it. it took a while to get there. i'll tell you who did not get a catch, devon thomas. >> he might have, just on the playground somewhere. >> you won't see him in the locker room. >> story for another day.
7:44 am
how about graham gano. >> we saw you miserably miss the kick. >> he had 3 of 4 yesterday, 11 of 14 for the year and you get paid to make big-time kicks, i don't care if it's 21 yards or 50 or 33. if it splits the upright you win the game and or acpoe has a lot to be happy for. and think about the quarterbacks that the redskins have beaten. tony romo, aaron rodgers who might be at the top right now, kevin kolb and michael vick and you have to close both of those. and kevin kolb looked good last night in san francisco. so those are not easy teams to beat and this defense has figured out a way to do. >> but the positive is you have a prime time audience on sunday night. >> peyton manning. >> the redskins love to put on a show at home and have the big-
7:45 am
time audience. so i look for a big game there. >> whoa, whoa, friday predictions on friday. >> we'll write them down. but peyton manning didn't throw a touchdown in a while and so they are going to fire it out. >> he's doing real homework. >> and the other key to me was the redskins, they remained calm. they stayed in it but m. never gave up or panicked. >> like kevin bacon at the end of animal house. >> all is well! >> one per season. >> i love that movie. >> i have a feeling this is what dave watches that on sunday. >> this is what he gets for watching movies from the 80s -- or the 70s.
