says he is 100% pro life, he had to walk that back there have been a lot of occasions wherecain got himself in trouble this is some think you don't want to see if you are one of his supporters, had this polar rising ad last week but then his campaign manager smoking at the end of it, he had to defend why he had someone smoking in an ad, for mccain, there is a question can he take this momentum he built up and turn it into a professional organization and we haven't yet seen, you know, sort of the professionalization of the campaign and the candidate become more disciplined, to really be able to stick it out. we have seen already, republican candidates whether it be michelle bachmann or rick perry take off like rocket ships and crash down to earth. cain is in danger of doing that

against the status quo, and i think there is a very good chance that a large minority or even a majority of the 12 member school board is basically going to have been elected after saying they want to shake things up. before we get into the reason for that shake pup, we are talking about a superintendent in place for some time. >> he is leaving in 2013. >> but this board, whom ever makes up this board will essentially be selecting the next superintendent. >> yes. >> it is a big duty. >> right they are picking the next superintendent to pick jack dale and they will also over see the new superintendent people running, the insurgents, rebels, reformers assuming they win they want to be much more involved and much more guiding of the superintendent and bureaucracy than the previous

board, criticized rightly or wrongly as a rubber stamp. i think you will be seeing a lot more -- assuming they win you will see a lot more responsiveness or a lot more effort to make the superintendent and the administration, more responsive to the public, especially on issues like discipline and school hours, and i think you will also see a big push to reduce class size, especially, in some of the more affluent neighbourhoods because there is defruitly a backlash of -- definitely a bash lack of the well to do. well, i think there are overlapping reasons for it, one is there were these movements, parent movements, to try to get the board, -- excuse me the board and bureaucracy to be more responsive on discipline, grading, school hours whenever parents tried to put pressure on the administration they felt

like they were just given the back of the hand they were not listened to, their input was not valued i think a lot of people of olid logical stripes, were basically -- ideological stripes were basically pushing that way and not happy at the response or lack of responsiveness, there is also a backlash among as i said the well to do affluent neighbourhoods, you know the formulas they have, for assigning resources, tend to favour, the neediest schools, and so, in a time of tight budgets class sizes and more well to do, affluent neighbourhoods have shot up and a lot of people are angry and want more of the budget to come back to those better off schools there is a bit of a backlash there is a subtle pro republican tendency in this election. >> what do you see happening as far as elections you see this playing out this way, we are talking about here and if so, over the next year or so how would you see things changing.

>> if you look -- considering there were three people on the board to begin with, sort of critical of the establishment, they only need to pick up you know, three more seats to have half and four more seats to have a majority, i think there is a pretty good chance they will do that, or at least have such a big minority on the board that there will be changes, i think there is a lot of pressure to be more responsive, i think there will be pressure to deal with the class size issue everybody is talking about that now and there is an interesting issue because both teachers associations in fairfax, one of which is usually republican and one of which is usually democratic, they have come out in favour of the insurgents because teachers are very upset about the work load there is a really rising work load as teachers are sort of pressed, to raise performance on standardized tests and so they have basically aligned with the -- it is mentioned technically
