people are not online. >> i have people all the time say i don't do the internet well, the intermet does you whether you do it or not everybody has some information on the internet it is aggregated from public sources, white pages, yellow pages, birth records, court records those types of things are all readily available online the first thing to do, is face it, find out what is out there, and look for your formal name which would be your middle name or middle initial and then your common name people know you by doctors physicians, look for md phd, search results are always different for the different it rations of your name. >> okay give us other tips in the time we have the book talks about it, what you must do to protect yourself can you leave the viewers with some of your top tips. >> the number one thing is be deliberate when we go to a new social site a new profile site

in a hurry to get it built up we scan through terms and conditions we click agree. second thing without thinking we put our real addresses our real phone numbers and things like that on these sites without probably processing who can find that information, draw boundaries, for my family we don't put pictures or names of our children, on our social sites, we share them with family, and family knows who they are. so if there is one take away, be very deliberate when you begin participating in social media, profile sites, rating sites you are a 13458 business go on and make -- small business go on and make sure the information is accurate. >> you can get all the valuable information in steven wires new book called violated online, couldn't be a more timely topic. >> thanks for having me. >> over to you.

we continue to follow last night's earthquake in turkey. it hit in the same place as last month's did he have skating quake. 8 people have -- devastating quake. 8 people have died, rescuers were staying in a hotel that collapsed rescue workers have been working all night to get to survivors the earthquake that hit october 23rd, killed 600 people. >> national park service will today weather rise or start weather rising the washington monument you are looking at live pictures here of the work getting under way. they are fixing cracks before the weather sets in. this summers earthquake caused quite a bit of damage and engineers are concerned the cold weather will make that
