7:36 am
you don't really know but i suspect they all come in with good intentions but just like if you are in a conference, in a meeting you just get one loud mouth or one bad apple and just ruins the whole thing like the petulant child starts banging on the table and sits in the corner and cries and whines. >> jim and i could do it, the two of us we could work it out instead of 12. >> yeah, we could. >> 12 seems like a lot but what happens if something is not done. we talk with members of this committee before and their fear was they wouldn't get anything done. this goes back months ago when thanksgiving was far away but now it is like if we don't get it done by thanksgiving we will find a way to delay it or put it off. doesn't seem like that fear of the deadline is really there. what happens? >> first of all it puts obama in a tight spot he put his
7:37 am
proposal down they didn't accept it, had a super committee but i think there is a trigger here there is some serious cuts that are going to happen if they don't pass this no body actually -- the secret no body in congress wants what is going to happen to happen. they will have to do this. again, backed up against the wall they will have to do something. >> no body will be happy everybody will complain and whine when it is all said and done. you are only talking about the goal was $1.2 trillion that is it. >> over how many years? senator coburn had a press conference a month or two ago who identified 9 trillion dollars worth of cuts yet they can't come up with 1.2. shows the ineptitude of what is going on. >> well, let's talk about what is happening in the race for 2012 i will give you first crack dave i know jim can't wait to talk about what is happening. we will start now, we've seen, i mentioned this last week to
