house however it was stopped from penetrating the building by bullet proof glass they have to protect the interior, the other was found outside the white house the question, is this connected to what happened friday, on that day, some witnesses reported hearing gunfire near the white house, and park police are looking for this man his name is oscar ortega hernandez, apparently they saw -- witnesses saw two vehicles fleeing the scene of this shooting a short time later an abandoned vehicle was found by police inside was information connecting that vehicle to hernandez in addition they found a weapon an ak-47 assault rifle inside that vehicle. he is known to law enforcement, he has a history of drug charges and abuse of a police officer, assaulting a police officer, we do not have any more information as to whether or not he is still in the area he is believed to have come to the area within the last few

weeks most of his crimes were committed out west. with regard to the bullets they found here at the white house, secret service is not saying whether they thing it is connected to the incident friday but they are investigating. stacy cohen, sarah and tony back to you. president obama arrived in australia early this morning he is being honored by the country's leaders. ♪ [ music ] at an official arrival ceremony in the capitol this morning the president stood with his hand over his heart as a military band played the national anthem he is announcing plans to station over 2,000 u.s. marines in australia and says the united states does not fear china. china quickly reacted saying a bigger military footprint in the pacific may not be appropriate. new this morning prince georges county police investigating two separate killings, first police called

to the 700 block maury avenue around 11:00 p.m. last night when they got there they found a man lying in the street with gunshot wounds he was pronounced dead at the hospital. a few hours earlier a similar scene in district heights this one in the 2100 block of county road, police found a man lying in a parking lot also with a gunshot wound he died at the scene. police don't have suspects in either case, there is no word on whether they thing these crimes are related. police in fairfax county trying to figure out if an incident at a shopping center last month is related to a murder last year a man jumped into a car with a woman in it october 27th she screamed and jumped out but was not hurt. police are examining surveillance video of that confrontation it happened in the same place vanessa fam was last seen summer 2010. >> you see the victim walking across the parking lot she is now getting in her vehicle, he is approaching the rear. it is the same parking lot where vanessa fam was last seen

alive last june 27th, before she was eventually discovered murdered along arlington boulevard, williams drive. now the woman who screamed and jumped out last month later provided police with a composite sketch of the man said to be in his 20s or 30s. it is a day of remembrance james madson university a candle lit vigil is being held for six members of the family that have died this semester. the latest happened yesterday when a person was hit by a bus on campus. two students died in recent months, one was killed in a skate boarding accident the cause of death for the other student is unknown. two recent graduates have also lost their lives as well as the school's vice provost who died last week of an apparent heart attack. alleged penn state sex scandal, getting more complicated by the day. now a district judge faces

the penn state child sex abuse investigation he is facing criticism for that, that grant is now on hold. in basketball more fall out from the nba lock out the league has cancelled all games through december 15th, 324 games now lost, that translates to more than a quarter of the season. the news came just hours before locked out players filed two anti trust lawsuits against the league in at least two states. >> anti capital limp occupy protests started all around the world started two months ago in new york city, police moved in and evicted protestors in the park in manhattan. they are being allowed back in but a judge ordered, they can only stand no lying down, no sleeping bags, no tents. >> i will find a new place absolutely because this is going to come down to local communities, i think there needs to be kind of central

didn't deserve it. you have to be clear on this stuff. some times that involves cutting people off much like i just cut you off alison. i can't help myself. we haven't heard from you we've talked to the judges and some of the acts that get booted but still they talk to us afterwards but we want to know more about you and if you are -- >> what do you want to know. >> i know you are welsh i know you started off as a mould and that was easy -- model and that was easy to figure out but you are so busy with the hosting tell us about you. >> well, i mean i did model for a short window in 99 and 2000 it was short window because i was hugely unsuccessful i modeled in thailand, korea, london essentially went no, you are not going to be a model you are too generic for us. i stumbled into hosting a

friend rang me out of the blue and said there is a job going in the local paper back in wales to host a show called pop factory, that was 10, 11 years ago and i have been building up and up here i am in america hosting x factor talking to alison from washington it is awesome. >> so are you having fun here on the x factor? how does that compare to the show's overseas. >> i mean, i got to be careful because i love the shows i have hosted back in britain but there is -- this is a big show i mean if you are in america and you are working on a hit show that is kind of like the dream scenario, that is what you want everybody wants to do what they do on the biggest stage possible and arguably the x factor is it so i am loving doing the show i am loving working with the judges simon cowell and life is pretty good i am content at the moment.

show is running for quite some time you probably don't need many rehearsals. >> we move every week we have a different setting and the stage is set in a different environment every week we need to test it and we have to make sure -- >> there is always a learning curve that makes it fun though. >> yes. >> so you know when it comes to a cirque du soleil show there is always a story, always characterses give us an overview what kidam is about. >> yep it is a beautiful production about a little girl and her family she goes into an imaginary world, and she meets all these characters, so we talk about a lot of celebration of individuality, people you pass on the streets and in a minute you would see her on the street and she looks like a normal girl but give her the stage for 5 minutes she will do something maizing, wow you and open up your mind. >> and you know what is amazing about cirque du soleil they are

able the continually wow the audience, how are they able to continually find, one act that is just better than the next over and over. >> the casting department takes care of finding people to replace, great performers we already have and finding new talent everybody that makes it into a show is already at the top of their form and best at what they do. that is what we are bringing you this week. >> well, we are so glad you are here and you heard her reference, ana is standing by as well now where do you come in in the story? >> i come on in beginning of second half so basically, when the little girl sees me i guess she sees the transformation from a little girl to a woman and sees like in my number you can see it is kind of talking about different kinds of addiction i am working on here

they thrill me every time. >> how did you know you were really good at balancing and flexible? >> i was an athlete before so when i finished, i got into cirque du soleil and did a lot of different things but it has always been my dream to do handball lancing for eight years i have been dreaming to do that finally my dream has come true. >> how awesome is that do you ever eat anything fattening anna. >> yes, i do. >> good i feel better about that. >> will you share some of your dream with us? >> of course. >> all right let's hand it over to anna and watch her do handball lancing ♪ [ music ] ♪
