9:47 am
ability with numbers his father played by keifer sutherland, martin, is desperately trying to connect with his son i come in as the social worker brought in on jake's case to work out whether jake needs to be with his father or whether the state needs to take care of him >> that is emotional right there. are you a good person or bad? >> you know what, conflicted, she has good intentions and you know, her priority is jake's safety and his well being obviously that is discovered by martin, keifers characters and his qwest to connect with his son and also following the numbers, which jake has an incredible ability for. alongside this, the show has an incredible global scope and that scene is set in japan in the pilot in tokyo, dublin, baghdad as well as new york, so
9:48 am
it really is on the theme of how we are all interconnected in life. >> that sounds fantastic and when we see keifer sutherland of course he had the big hit on fox 24, the show sort of reminded i think people of that, just with the pressing need to get some answers in a certain amount of time are we reading into that too much? or is it you know because keifer to us is a lot of jack bower too on 24. >> of course, and that was you know such an incredible show i would say touch is somewhat of a departure even though there is an immediacy particularly for the pilot there is also much more of a soulful element it does pack an emotional punch you know, more thoughtful show in many ways, and as i say, that emotional level, that brings to it something quite different i think, you know,
