after they found love who was lying face down on her pillow her eyes were swollen shut there were bruises and scrapes on her chin. during questioning hughly admitted on video tape to kicking if her bedroom door and kicking her while her head hit the wall. medical examiners say yeardly died from blunt force trauma to the head hughly's attorneys say it was a tragic accident and that the death may have been linked to the use of the drug atterol both the victim and suspect grew up in our area yeardly love was from cockilyville maryland, and hughly from chevy chase. he is expected to appear in court for the first time since his arrest he opted to stay in prison during other hearings if he is convicted he faces life in prison without parole. thank you very much. meanwhile family and friends will say their final

goodbyes today to an alexandria man whose body was found at the bottom of a well a funeral for lenny harris will take place this morning at the greater mount cavalry holy church on rhode island avenue, northeast. >> announcer: non-mouse tip lead police -- an, anonymous tip lead police to his body in the bottom of a well last week. fox 5s lauren demarco is live at freedom plaza with the latest good morning lauren. >> reporter: good morning alison. we had some stand offs over the weekend this morning, things are calm police are here, performing their inspections of the tents there are about three dozen or so tents many were unoccupied overnight it seems but there are a good number of protestors here they seem to be complying with police this morning. now police are checking, to make sure there is no camping

going on checking for bedding, clothing, cooking items they are prohibited also they are checking for bio hazards, the protestors can remain on site all hours with tents but again camping is not permitted so in other words no sleeping. the occupy protestors, were notified last week, the camping regulations would be enforced at both dc locations and saturday, at mcpherson square officers in full riot gear and horseback arrived they did search tents they uncovered some bio hazard material, urine soaked bedding, bottles, live and dead rats tents that did not meet regulations were taken down in addition, 11 people were arrested allegedly after hitting an officer in the face with a brick. at freedom plaza, there was a seem here, officers brought in hazmat teams, but all in all here, it was more peaceful now this morning, everyone seems to

high school in washington. in fact, six years before the first white high school. >> hmm chef >> and it was the miner school there is your picture of the miner school but that is already in the 20th century and the miner school emerged into miner college which was the black teachers college with a parallel structure of a white teachers college which was wilson and these two parallel teachers colleges existed until 1954, when desegregation came into being and dc tc the district of columbia teachers college was formed of the union of these two teachers colleges. the push in dc was for more general education not just teacher education and in the 1960s as johnson followed kennedy, there were a series of

was great in the commercial very funny and very effective what was your take on that? >> well, i was on twitter last night, monitoring how everybody thought i don't think the pepsi spot got a great reaction but one thing that strikes me about this super bowl some demographic -- from a demographic stand point we were all targeted by different spots the ferris bueller spot played well to generation xers. >> if you didn't watch x factor you may not be tied to this commercial you know elton john but maybe not the winner. >> the next one we talk about doritos, they were great man's best friend was -- like a minimovie with this huge dog looking at his owner threatening him don't say a word about these missing cats. >> what spot was brilliant from a marketing stand point doritos figured out how to play it right they get people seeing
