9:03 am
as you said near 85th avenue police received a call for a man lying unresponsive in the street. both new carrolton and prince georges county police are investigating the case they say the victim a young adult man was pronounced dead at the scene. at 11:30 just under an hour later prince georges county firefighters driving in area came upon another man lying in the street this time there was also a bicycle lying nearby, this was a garrison road and 78th avenue a mile from the first incident, the victim was another young man, also pronounced dead at the scene. we are treating these as separate incidents, two separate investigations, both individuals appear to have suffered from some sort of trauma. because the proximity of where they were located, we are looking into the possibility it may be related but right now there is no evidence indicating
9:04 am
so. as you just heard police do describe it as some sort of trauma i talked to several neighbors out here this morning, none willing to go on camera of course they are frightened and shocked this would happen in their neighbourhood but at least two people nearby said they heard something that sounded like a gunshot around 11:30 p.m. last night police at this point calling it trauma but will continue to investigate we will stay on the story if you have any information you are asked to contact authorities. >> thank you. >> a third suspect named in the murder of an alexandria activist. a bank atm camera caught lewis using lenny harris' bank card after he disappeared last september. his body was found last month at the bott testimony of a well in fort washington. yesterday friends and family gathered to honor his memory. jury selection continues

the day in court and jury hughly's murder trial he is on trial in the death of his ex- girlfriend yeardly love. both were students at the university of virginia. fox 5s. paul wagner live in charlottesville good morning paul. >> good morning alison. >> what can you tell us aboutproceedings yesterday. >> reporter: let me update you on information and explain why it is a little difficult to get, there is a gag order here in place the common wealth attorney is not speaking to the media not making any comments on this case and never has made a comment other than in open court defense is also not talking when you are sitting inside this courtroom it is cavernous and difficult to hear exactly what is going on, some of the parties here are speaking very softly, and some motions are being made and you are not exactly sure what is being said because no one is seconding it and saying this is what just happened we are having to rely on a spokesman for city of charlottesville and the information has not been
9:06 am
getting to us in a very prompt manner however this morning i finally got an update the court clerk is speaking to the spokesman for the city of charlottesville this is what we now know there was a pool of 160 jurors, 27 of them they are trying to qualify that is qualify to actually sit on the jury, so far 19 have been qualified, so we still need 8 more to sit on this jury, 15 people have already been released from their jury service, and when that pool of 27 is finally gotten to, hopefully today, each side then has 6 strikes in which they can remove anyone they wish to not be on that panel and then we will get down to 12 jurors, 3 alternates so if it picks up here today, and some of it has been tedious and a lot of questioning of jurors, potential jurors if it picks up we may see this jury seated by the end of today alison. >> the big yes as i understand
9:07 am
what that jury is they need someone who hasn't really heard about this case is that tough to do in a small community like charlottesville? >> yeah, that is not going to happen most of the people who have been questioned, know about the case have heard about the case, followed it in the news, yesterday i only heard two people say they had no knowledge of the case one lady said she had a big recollection of the case that is not going to happen here most people know all about this case and have been following it. and also, we heard, a little bit about what did go on as far as i know you said you couldn't hear a lot but as far as the behaviour of george hughly he is a local man, can you tell us about basically interaction if there was any with his family, and also the family of course of yeardly love. >> well, what is very striking, was the way george hughly looked yesterday. when he walked into the courtroom, i kind of sat up and is that the same guy it just didn't look like the same guy,
9:08 am
from the pictures that we had seen that were released the mug shots he is very thin, looks like he has lost considerable amount of weight, when he sat down, he did look to his right where his family has been sitting they are taking up the first two rows of the courtroom, and then just across the aisle is the love family sharon her daughter lexi and other family and friends have been sitting there and everyone can look at each other hughlys to the right, loves to the left and george hughly is facing the center of the well of the courtroom he can look right at mrs. love and lexi love as well. george hughly can look right and see his family other than him actually just speaking to his lawyers, we just know from watching him he is very attentive he is listening to what is going on. >> paul wagner we look forward to your report this is a trial
9:09 am

9:19 am
use inmales, message them do various things it is a lot more valuable to see someone you want to get to and find a mutual contact >> this is more hard core you don't have to accept everyone. >> absolutely. >> how do you not >> it is not this party we just want to invite everyone it is a business tool think about if you are going to connect with someone will they help you achieve your business goal. connect with them maybe ask them to join a group from your industry you are in or something that might be relevant to them. >> conversely if i am the one being asked to accept them and i don't feel like they are really doing much to help me, should i not accept them either. >> generally it starts in my mind with social capital that is a concept we talk about in the book if you have relationship s with people you thing would be able to help you or you might be willing to help them it makes sense to connect and then for whatever reason you decide it is not a good
