and omegle. police were quickly with the it team here on campus to locate the student, it is a 19-year- old student alexandre song he was taken into custody sunday morning around 10:00 a.m., he was unarmed at the time, he was immediately taken in for an emergency psychiatric evaluation he also, police searched his room they did not turn up any weapons there he is currently facing a misdemeanour charge could mean a fine up to $2,500 up to 6 months in jail he has been banned from campus. police say songs postings read in part i will be on a shooting rampage tomorrow on campus, hopefully i kill enough people to make it to national news, and stay away from the mall tomorrow, at 1:30 p.m., mall a possible reference to mcceldon mall on campus police have not elaborated but it is this area between the buildings

in the wrongful death lawsuit surrounding the virginia tech shooting two families are shooting $100,000 each claiming the school didn't do enough to keep students safe. parents are still hoping for an apology from school officials five years after the massacre. they testified friday and said officials did their best with the information they had that day. 60 dc public school classrooms are being investigated for possible cheating on standardized tests from 2011. 20 more classrooms were identified as unusually high test score gains on the dc comprehensive system test, 36 classrooms were flagged using different formulas joining us now is the chief of the office of data, and accountability with dc public schools it is good to see you. >> good to see you too.

>> let's talk about numbers first of all 24 classrooms identified by the office of the state superintendent of education dc public schools identified 36 classrooms that comes to 60, sit 60 classrooms or is there any overlap in those numbers? and there are some reports says 71 classrooms are being investigated. >> yeah, probably a little confusing so, 60 classrooms unique classrooms in dc public schools so dc public schools, largest school district in the district there is an additional 11 that have been flagged by the state in public charter school classrooms, so that is where the 71 number comes from, but so for the classrooms i am responsible for in dc it is 60. very good. tell us what is happening now are these investigations ongoing as we speak? >> yes, the investigations are just getting started as we speak the state department of

investigation has obtained an external firm, i actually just met with the investigators this morning to hand them over our data file, and to give them information about our schools and teachers so that they are ready to hit the ground. >> so during this period it would bo not be unusual for investigators to be in some schoolclassrooms? >> yes, probably won't actually be in classrooms but investigators will be in some schools we have lead our principals and school based staff know investigators will visit potentially not to be alarmed the presence of an investigation tore in a school does not mean there was impropriety just something worth investigating, and so we are making sure, that the schools are ready, but they should not -- we have asked them not to disrupt instruction as much as possible we want to make sure our kids keep learning.

>> will parents be notified as to which classrooms, teachers, schools are being investigated. >> yeah, after the fact if a student is sprier viewed a parent will be notify -- interviewed a parent will be notified their student was interviewed. what we commit to do is notify folks after the investigation has closed out, where we found examples of just great teaching, and examples of impropriety so we have committed to families we will let them know after the fact that we don't want folks to jump to conclusions. >> some folks may be familiar with the company, that had been investigating what and issued some reports what happened in previous years now the office of the state superintendent chose a new firm to audit these classrooms, why are they replacing the other company? >> you know, it is actually, i can't speak on behalf of the

state but it is not a replacement, dc public schools again my office retains cavion in prior years we went out and retained the firm this year we agreed with the state it made a lot of sense for them to run investigation so it is a new investigation, a new year we are a public agency they are a public agency they needed to go through pro curement they released an rsp in december to look at competitive bids and selected what i assume was the best bidder i don't think this is anything about cavion as the state needed to select a vendor based on competitive bid. does not reflect on the job cavion did >> not as far as i know. >> when do you expect reports to be made. >> i am optimistic they can do this quickly but we want the vendor to be as comprehensive

her leg had to be amputated because of how big she is she can't use that leg we had to get her a prosthetic. >> that was my question why did we go with the prosthetic leg instead of just leaving it as is. >> if it would have been cut shorter it probably would have been okay but with her trying to use it we had to get something to keep her healthy. >> all that weight. >> when she was stuck in the bear trap did a samaritan find her and call you guys. >> they called animal control and took her to the emergency vet from there she came to us. >> how long ago did this happen? >> a month. >> so how is she adjusting to that prosthetic leg. >> well, slowly but surely she is still getting used to using it she only gets to use it about 20 minutes a day >> she is so sweet and friendly i think she would do well with kids. >> happiest thing ever. >> she is. >> what is her -- as far as special needs go or care what are we looking at for her. >> won't be too bad just if you are going to go for walks you
