all right thank you sherry. a man and woman are dead this morning after what appears to be a murder suicide in prince georges county police say they were called to the home in the 1000 block of nyunga avenue capitol heights it appears the man killed his wife and took his life. we will bring you the latest information as we get it. >> update to one of the eight shootings in prince georges county over the weekened 21- year-old david anthony shaw was killed when he attempted to rob a home in district heights shaw knew the people inside of the home shot one in the leg and then they wrestled the gun from him, shot and killed him. the county state attorney will now determine if the shooting was in self-defense. memorial service will be held for the 7 students killed and 3 wounded in a shooting at a university in oakland california, authorities say a former student opened fire

donor all three of you are here today we do appreciate it. olivia, you were here back in 2010 talking with us at the time you were on the waiting list. >> yes, exactly, july my fathers birthday i was listed and hasn't really thought about it a lot of people will get on the list but not quite mentally ready to get there, and so i just moved forward with getting listed and then, out of nowhere, this one over here decided to go and get tested, and didn't tell me, until i was driving down the street and he called and said he was a match, which i almost crashed it was so amazing. >> i think what is even more amazing as well is the story how you guys met you have been friends ever since about a year you were diagnosed 1996, a year later how did you guys meet. >> um, the station i used to work with did these wonderful trips to jamaica we were on the trip he was a listener our plane ended up getting delayed

we just really bonded then and hung out the whole trip our friendship blossomed from there we have been friends for years. >> now mike i want to talk to you just for a quick second what made you decide that you thought you know what i am going to go get tested and do this, and when you found out you were a match what happened. >> it started when she held her gala a year prior and i knew about her disease then, but i didn't know the severity until i went to her gala and saw, the behind the scenes video of what she was going through, and i saidly try and do whatever i can to help her, out of the blue she asked some of her friends would they mind getting tested okay why not i didn't think i would be a match but i went and got tested, and i was sitting at work one day and i said i never got my results back, and sure enough the next

day, the kidney coordinator contacted me and said um, i have some great news for you you are a match for your friend and you know, you guys can proceed. and i was in shock at first, but i was happy because, now she knows that some body is going to be a donor for her you know, so it was just a matter of letting her know and let her make the decision of you know who she wants to be her donor. >> incredibly selfless act on your part just wonderful olivia, all this time your 8- year-old nina she knows mom as having to work through these struggles and you know, nina i want to ask you how excited are you that your mom is finally found a match, how does this make you feel? >> um, it makes me really happy because first of all, when i

was a baby, i'm sorry but i had to say this, but when i was a baby, she was kind of sick and i was really sad and i kept on crying and i couldn't see her a long time because she was in the hospital. but now, when she gets her transplant we can go different places, like we wanted to go like hawaii [ laughter ] >> it is nice to be able to do those things now. and now when the visit to the hospital is going to be so mom can get -- >> she worked that hawaii trip in here. >> she is very excited. >> these are pictures of course with you and your daughter as well, in a sense then you have started because this is so near and dear to your heart, national association of preventative kidney care and counselling. >> i utilized the nonprofit as a platform to basically talk about ways people can take an initiative in their medical
