they don't like romney they are not happy about him but hey you go with what you got. >> you go with what you got. >> peter is right when you look back now because hind sight is always 20/20 there are only two people set up to make a long run, one of which was rick perry once he was out, romney has been running six years he had the organization, he had the ground game and the money they knew the way delegates selection was being set up, so they prepared for it and in the long run you know they knew this was the way it was going to be. >> santorum wasn't even on the ballot. >> but give santorum props he was only supposed to be in and out gone by christmas. >> so looks like it is going to be romney and president obama are going to go mono e mono the question i have i read there is a poll came out the president is doing really well with female voters, and mitt romney is not doing well, how much of an issue is this. >> a major issue right now, i
7:36 am
mean romney has got to come back with women voters women under 50, it is 60% for obama, 30% for romney. you cannot -- he cannot win if that happens this is going with the latest gallup poll the problem of course is that the culture war discussion the discussion about planned parenthood romney saying he wants to defund planned parenthood after they have given money to planned parenthood when he was governor of massachusetts difficulty too, i don't think women voters trust him. i wrote a column in today's hill newspaper where i called mitt romney the don draper from mad men, he is back in the 60s in terms of his style his approach he takes he is not viewed by women as genuine as believing in anything, as having a core and that is a problem. that is a serious problem if this economy continues to

>> $other polls showing the same thing jim. >> look before you make the point polls go up and down i am not -- >> i am speaking. >> but what i am saying he does have a genuineness problem. >> that is not the problem. we are not talking -- i think the poll is a bogus poll we should be talking about a lot of other things that are much more important like jobs, gas prices, the president attacking romney. >> i agree -- >> one of the things i think you will see an incredible debate we will fight this all the way to november, is whose economic plan, is fair to middle class families, whose economic plan is going to do the most to ait can this deficit and you know, one of things i think romney has done linked himself to ryan, now you know this is going to be something he is going to run on, and we will have that fight and i think we will win that fight. >> do you? >> absolutely.
7:39 am
>> let me get in a question here. >> go ahead. >> we usually don't let questions in. >> here is a question i have, it is about the south. because, mitt romney did not do well in the south for whatever reason, is that going to be an issue when it comes election time. >> no. >> why not? >> you know, what you are going to see, is that a lot of conservatives, a lot of the evangelical christians will come back into the polls they will not vote for the president, they are going to vote for romney, so what you are going to have is now the enthusiasm gap may be lower than you might necessarily see but they will get those numbers, he will win those states, pretty handily, so you can see that with what the president -- >> jim, basically right on this, except for a couple states where there could be a problem north carolina and
