robbing people, he doesn't base that on any evidence, so it supports the idea the prosecution will use at trial, that he is a wreckless guy, who goes off kind of ad hoc and focused on race. ironically he is part hispanic himself but that doesn't stop him from saying racist stuff on myspace. derogatory terms about women not so relevant but he brags about beating a case or getting reduced charges in a case, he says he won in part because his friends didn't snitch on him, so he doesn't look like this real up standing law abiding citizen defense is trying to portray him as. >> could the defense possibly successfully argue look these are postings people write all kinds of stuff bragging and trying to look like the big guy on their social media website, could they argue this is irrelevant. >> they could but for one thing there is stuff trayvon martin put on social media, like facebook that doesn't make him

look good either there is one photo where he has gold fronts the other stuff he is bragging about or talking about drug use so they are probably going to try to use that as evidence both of these guys on social media are not casting themselves in the best light looking like thugs so could that be an issue in a criminal trial absolutely >> things when it comes to this type of thing are rarely black or white, pardon the pun, but you mention george zimmerman had mexican heritage as well he is making these comments about mexicans the pictures show him with friends and it is a racially diverse group of people so could, if it is brought up by the prosecution could defense say well, look, he is just spouting off at the mouth, look another the pictures of his friends shawled -- look at the pictures of his friends that should indicate he doesn't hold prejudice in his heart >> right now, race is not in the case form ally. he is not charged with a hate

for embezzling hundreds of thousands in city money. >> prosecutors asked the judge for up to 4 years in prison, melanie alnwick is live at the federal courthouse with more. >> reporter: good morning tony. today is the culmination of a very long investigation, into financial dealings former councilman harry thomas junior in january he agreed to plead guilty to federal tax and theft charges, at 9:30 a.m., here in federal court he will learn exactly how long he will spend in federal prison for those crimes prosecutors say harry thomas junior set up a scheme to steal public money almost immediately upon taking office as the ward 5 councilman in february, 2007, and that scheme continued for several years city grant money intended for youth recreation programs was instead funneled to his personal accounts in all, $353,000 was spent observing suvs. lavish vacations, restaurants, they are pushing for an 18

month sentence for their clients guilty plea at the time of the plea agreement the u.s. attorney called thomas' actions outrageous conduct that can only be described as a flag rant abuse of the public trust again we do expect harry thomas junior here in court he will probably show up relatively soon, joining me is matt, he will be in court what do we expect today. >> well, most people you talk to say harry thomas junior is likely to go to jail today, that is really not a question what many people are wondering is for how long. as you mentioned 16 months a year and a half is what thomas' attorneys want but the u.s. attorney, wants much more than that, almost four years, so the hearing begins 9:30 a.m., we believe harry thomas will make some type of statement, the u.s. attorney won't be in court he will talk afterwards no word if harry thomas will come out and speak as you know when he

did plead guilty to those charges he came out and made a statement basically apologized to his constituents and then moved on from that. one thing that a lot of folks have been asking about, will he -- if he is sentenced to jail will he be taken to jail right away that will likely not happen he will have to report to the clerk there will be a date set up and then, that is when he will have to report to prison now that is if the judge decides, john baits decides harry thomas should go prison is all these questions, still need to be answered. >> right. you hear the words from the prosecutors they used harsh language describing what he did with public money but he does have a lot of support from the community. >> he does over 90 people including his mother wife, children, other people within ward 5, all wrote letters to the judge, asking for leniency, but the u.s. attorney, says this guy is a public servant he stole from young people funds meant for youth sports in dc, and basically, the judge should

to several cartologyists, -- cardiologists let me give you bottom line research first of all when you take your young athlete in for that you know, that evaluation that they have to get that signature you have to get, before they can play a sport, that actually needs to be a comprehensive test american heart association says there is a 12 point exam, that doctors need to be following, when it comes to getting that health history, and that health check up of athletes, so that is very important, personal history, family history and physical exam. another thing i learned, that in that exam when doctors listen to the heart beat, simple just listening to the heart beat they might be able to detect a heart murmur, detect other problems, so that is a key step in that exam, a quiet room a good listen and then, family history, that is so important, or the child's personal health history any fainting that has gone on, family history of sudden cardiac death of heart disease,
