in and the snow pack that's in place. so that fog could seriously develop. a little bit of patchy fog here and there. today's highs right on the money. we should be about 44 degrees so we're right in that ballpark as far as those temperatures are concerned. and this hour we're at 37 in mannasas, 30 at frederick, 38 at hagerstown, 31 in martiningburg. 41 in dc, 34 at baltimore. so the winds are going to start to push in from the south, that's going to help to boost our temperature. what's going to help that happen is a ridge of high pressure. this is going to slide its way to the east tonight and open up the door so we can get that southerly flow. tonight, clear skies just a few clouds rnd, and it will be cold, chilly into the 30s. but once again not quite as cold as last night. overnight lows into the 30s. 29 at frederick, a little cooler there. a little warmer at leonardtown and fredricksburg at 36 degrees. so the jet stream moving to the north and it's going to finally
10:40 pm
push all that colder air up there and leave it there. while we benefit from that southerly air and we end up 10 to 20 degrees above average. that's going to be the pattern for at least a couple of days. so it's not going to come in and head back out again. we've got a couple of days to enjoy the warmer conditions and highs tomorrow here are going to start off into the 50s to the southern regions we'll see those temperatures into the low 60, and by the time we get into monday, we start to see more of a suderly flow and we will be pretty much overall into the low 60s. we've got a slight very weak frontal system to move through monday. so by monday afternoon-evening i can't rule out maybe a passing shower or two. for tomorrow, dry skies 12 noon will be about 50 degrees sunshine. by the 5:00 hour roughly 54 degrees. 34 degrees for tonight mostly clear skies. could see a little bit of fog very possible. and for tomorrow as we start the day, it will be 57 degrees with mostly sunny skies but it will
10:41 pm
be at least warmer and then that warming thing, that continues. take a look at my fox 5 accuweather p 7-day forecast. take a look. temperatures are going to start to climb. groundhog day is around the corner on tuesday. will he see his shadow? i don't know. it depends how much sun we're going to get. a few showers on tuesday as well. wednesday is the day we've got to watch out for. we're warming up to about 63 degrees and southern areas of maryland could be into the mid 60s but we're going to have a lot of widespread rainfall as a stronger frontal system comes through and behind that front we're back to the 40s once again. but my concern is the amount of rainfall we're going to get plus the snow melt because of the warmer weather and as i mentioned earlier, a lot of drains and things still covered by that snow pack is not good. so we just have to watch that a little closely. >> around your house and all that. >> absolutely. and i love to see that little groundhog. i can't believe we're already in february.
