to fox5 that maryland's marylan' current superintendent ofnt schools will take over the job t and that appointment will comeic as early as tonight. fox5's tom fitzgerald joinseral us now with the details. dai >> reporter: this has been a a process shrouded in secrecy. sre just about one hour from now n sources tell us that dr. jack dj r. smith who is currently the interim superintendent of schools throughout marylandroug will be conditionally named as the new superintendent ofsu schools for montgomery county public schools. so, who is he? well, up untilpu just now, dr. smith had been the interim superintendent as far back as september of 2015 o0 after dr. lillian lowry lowry resigned her job for one in columbus ohio. ohio. smith had already said that heha wasn't ended in filling that state job society superintendent's job thenende became a possibility for him.orh the superintendent's job nowri on ant permanent basis could c mean that he'll be taking over as interim superintendent as early as tonight. tight dr. jack smith served in the see
