potential regulatory compliance issue is under review by the fire and rescue department and the virginia department of health. therefore we are unable to comment on this issue. i should also point out the two firefighters are volunteers here at the falmouth fire station. meaning their suspension isn't kofrting them any money and i can tell you captain kelly was very upset when talking about this incident. he says he's a third generation firefighter who has a passion for helping people and he can't believe he's being punished for doing just that. reporting in stafford county, alexandra limon, fox 5 local news. >> as soon as we posted some of the details of the suspension on our website, it sparked a strong reaction. a couple of the responses on our facebook page looked like this. this angers me beyond words. they did what was best for the patient. it's called being a patient advocate. no, they shouldn't be suspended. they had waited and the g

to see it as well as it will last into the early hours of your sunday morning. so here's a look at what we're talking about. anywhere from a dusting to about 2 inches over the higher elevations, scattered dusting and some rain/snow mix everywhere else. however i can't rule out that south of the dc corridor into parts of southern maryland, into central virginia, that we could see a little more accumulation. it's not going to last long because the sun will be out by sunday afternoon and we'll have some brighter skies. here is a look at your current temperatures. overnight tonight 35 degrees, wind from the southeast at 5 miles per hour. keeping an eye on that clipper for you and we'll have more destals on the 7-day forecast coming up in just a bit. >> gwen, thank you. fox 5 is in prince george's county where police are looking for a man who broke into a woman's apartment in college park and sexually

earlier today officers canvassed the neighborhood and they looked for clues. >> they'll be going building to building, door to door, hoping that we can talk to someone who may have seen something or heard something. no detail may be too small, so it could be that one small detail that could crack the case. so we're asking for the community's help in this. >> investigators say the man broke into the woman's apartment while she was sleeping. when she woke up the man attacked her and then left. the only description police are releasing is that the suspect was wearing a dark hoody and khaki pants. days after the shooting the sergeant reached out to the owner of the old town sports club to lend a hand. the owner says they were more than happy to get involved. so far they've raised about 8,000 bucks to help the officers. >> o

overnight tonight into the early hours of your sunday but it's not going to be around for very long and that is at least the good news. let's take a look at radar. we're going to show you what's happening here and we're dealing with a clipper system that is going to move its way through in the overnight hours and then quickly depart early on sunday. but not before it leaves us with probably a little bit of a dusting of snow. we're talking about an inch or less generally and a little bit more over the higher elevations. southern maryland, central virginia, you could see a little more accumulation also. and we're looking at a bit of a dusting and a mixture of some rain and snow there. so it is on the way. we're going to see that low pressure system quickly move its way across and it will be out of the way by early sunday morning and leave behind at least some sunshine. here's a look at your current temperatures into the mid 30s and upper 30s pretty much everywhere. the good news is temperature wise we are going to have wampleer temperatures at the surface so the precipitation will not be sticking. your overnight

the mid 30s and we are talking a pretty light southerly wind to a southeast terly wind. 6:32 a.m. sunrise tomorrow and you can rest assured the precipitation will be there. it's a brief visit to let us know it's still the winter season. >> meantime the temps may not feel like it. but spring break will be here it before you know it. we'll look at some of the travel trends, some of the top annual destinations including orlando and cancun but new destinations are emerging like houston and paris. many people are also looking to save some cash and stay closer to home. >> this year we're seeing average air fare prices are down 15% compared to spring break 2015. hotel rates are up about 8%. certainly people are paying a little bit less for their flights and people are looking for places this

10:31 pm
that's going to move its way in from tonight and that's what we're keeping a close eye on. it's going to end on early sunday morning and we're going to get some improvement but not before it leaves a bit of a scattered dusting, a little more in the higher elevations and there's a couple of areas where i can't rule out a little more accumulating. a calm weather pattern that's good news. but boy do we have a spring warm-upcoming your way. in the meantime this is all the precipitation associated with the clipper system and its associated front to the south and this is now, the clipper system is actually right now to the eastern portion of ohio as it moves through. but this is going to move across our area in the overnight hours, early sunday morning you'll see some of it, but it should be out of the picture early into the morning hours at about 9:00 or so. so we'll get a little bit of a break at that point. but we will get a very scattered dusting, a mixture of some rain
10:32 pm
and to areas of the higher elevations, a little more. however, south of the dc corridor, i can't rule out just a little bit more accumulation. i'll show you this on future cast. here we go in the overnight hours, here to the south you can see along the i-95 corridor where we've got a little bit more mix and a little bit more snow and right here as well where you see this blue. this is the 6:00 hour might pick up more than an inch there. basically we are talking an inch or less overall for most of the entire region. and it's out of here. look at this. 9:00, 10:00 in the morning. we're going to see a ridge built in. and a clearing trend these clouds will be out of the way and we're going to have a pretty nice sunday. very fast moving clipper, very unorganized, not a lot of moisture with it. for the most part rain showers mixing with snow, little to know accumulation expected. once we get past tonight into tomorrow morning it will be out of the picture and we can get back to sunshine and start to enjoy the day as that ridge of
10:33 pm
that ridge is going to be impactful because it's going to stick around for most of the week and we're going to start to see a nice southerly flow boost our temperatures. highs tomorrow will be into the 50s and the jet stream giving us cooler air right now but that changes as the jet stream moves to the north, opens the door up for all that southerly air to move in and by wednesday, we're going to have a run of about three days where we are going to be in the 70s and you're going to think that clipper system is nothing once you get to enjoy this. not only are we going to have 70s,we're going to have nice weather to go with it. here's a look at your planner for tomorrow. by midday about 45 degrees. that rain/snow mix early hours and by the 5:00 hour it will be about 48 degrees. tonight, 35 for your overnight low. winds from the southeast at 5 miles per hour and as we push into tomorrow, our daytime high will be 50 degrees. and as i said once that rain/snow mix gets out of the way, then we're going to be pretty set up
10:34 pm
nice day goes. here we go. not bad at all. look at wednesday. what a wonderful day at 75 degrees. can't beat it. take a look at the temperatures elsewhere. we've got some upper 70s there also. we've got nice weather just for you. jim? >> thank you, gwen. fox 5, two people were arrested for heroin possession. they were found using heroin inside of their car. and with a spike in overdoses, authorities are very concerned about heroin, but now there's another drug on the scene and it can be even more deadly. law enforcement blaming an increase of lethal overdeess on fentanyl. it's significantly more powerful than heroin. laura evans is with what you need to know. >> reporter: this is the club no one wants to belong to. mothers who have lost children to a drug overdose, mostly heroin cases here, but at least two of these moms say autopsies
