this is what was spray painted on this house here in gainesville overnight. can you see the new world through tear gas. look around the corner because there's more. more graffiti on the side of this building. that says "revolution." why did this happen. judy think she's got a pretty good reason. there used to be two donald trump signs out here, there are none now. this family says they are not only very concerned about what happened here last night, but they feel they are now the victims of a political hate crime. >> i think i'm kind of concerned. it's just one of those situations where you just feel like you're being violated. your rights are being violated, you can't put a trump sign on your yard anymore? >> reporter: she found the vandalism at 6:00 a.m. she saw the two signs miss can and then

shocked to find this plaque spray painted message across the front of her house. the prince william county police tell us they are investigating the incident, it would be a felony property destruction. this message was spray painted right near the bedroom where judy sleeps. she is standing strong in her support of donald trump campaign. why? judy tells us she is not going to be bullied, she's not going to be intimidated and keep exercising right to free speech. >> no, i'm not begging them. i'm probably go to buy more signs but i want to do this to show them they're not going to stop me. >> reporter: as sooas

as soon as judy filled out this police report, she marched herself down to the local sign store, plucked down $26 and bought and designed her own donald trump sign. she says she's going to get more plaster this entire front yard with them and if anybody has any idea of doing this again, she's also spending some money on some brand new security cameras. tom fitzgerald local 5 news. >> it's igniting complaints about illegal dirt bikes and atvs. the complaints and the noise and safety issues. >> matt ackland joins us from the edgewood community in northeast dc where people want police to do something. they've been talking about this for a long time. >> reporter: they sure have. and as the weather is getting warmer, officials are not surprised they are getting more complaints about these

these dirt bakes. we checked in with dc police earlier today they say it's become such a problem that regional police chiefs are meeting together and they plan to hold a press conference in the next week or two to discuss solutions to this issue. some neighbors near 4th street northeast say they have had it. check out some of the comments. rob says: i have the dirt bike gang buzz by my house and terrify one of my house guests this weekend. she was holding her infant in her arms. it's an issue all over. these are reports fox 5 has brought you in the last year. remember this scene at an intersection in dc? how about this scene when riders stopped traffic on the beltway. and this most recently when an officer was hit in camp springs by an atv. >> kids can't come out on th

streets. they aren't looking for safety, they do whatever they want to do. >> reporter: some complain police just turn a blind eye. in dc chief cathy lanier forbids her officers to chase. >> my legislation would have made it illegal to park the dirt bikes anywhere in public space. it would require individuals who own the dirt bikes to register them so we can have a record, be able to track who owns them and whatever they're supposed to be and it would have created a staggered system of increasing penalties for those who are caught riding the dirt bikes. >> reporter: he tells us he rides bikes legally. the solution is finding a legal place for dirt bikes and atvs to ride in the city. some people have pointed out what about the big huge

lots near rfk. that would be the perfect place to have these bikes come in and ride in that area. we should tell you i've had a chance to talk to many neighbors and some of them feel differently about these dirt bikes. they say hey, these kids are out having fun. they're doing something illegal and it could be dangerous, at least they're not selling drugs or committing dangerous crimes. the people who do have a problem with it continue to call police on a special hotline that was set up, on 311, and on 911. and police rarely respond and if they do there's not much they can do. last year you might remember police chief cathy lanier raised the reward to $250. we want to find out how many complaints have been issued. we called and texted them, we didn't hear anything back as of show time. we'll try to keep you updated. live in northeast, matt ackland, fox 5 local news. >> lawmakers gathered in

annapolis today to introduce a new bill aimed at combatting domestic violence. house bill 1396 expands the definition of abuse to include both written and electronic harassment along with malicious destruction and defacing of property. among those in attendance today was a domestic survivor and ex-wife of dc sniper john mohammed. >> 80% of victims do not have physical scars to prove that they are victims. i support delicate angel in this bill, because this will help to close a loophole that is out there for abusers to use against victims. >> the new bill also requires the state board of education to encourage county boards to encourage age-appropriate lessons on domestic and dating violence. >> there is a push to change a marriage law in virginia whi

some of you may be surprised exists. right now children as young as 12 can get married if they're pregnant and have their parents' permission. a bill has advanced that would raise that minimum age of marriage in virginia to 16. supporters say the bill would help prevent young women from being taken advantage of. >> i checked the box for ted cruz and i'm here to tell you why. open. i love that with the back drop of the national cathedral behind it. check out the high temperatures today. 79 at reagan. 1 degree from tying the record. but 82 at dulles. that definitely is a new record there. the previous record is 79 and 82 at bwi. also a new record there. average for this time of year is about 53 degrees, well above it. still at 76 degrees here in the district. 81 for mannasas, winchester, hagerstown. cooler near water, as we expected. annapolis coming in at 66 degrees. but what a gorgeous evening. you know what? i just saw snow flakes fall as i changed that map. note to self, let's get them out of the forecast even if they are just animated. more records are expected tomorrow. i think we're going to be really shattering these records as well that are all in the upper 70s.

an update tonight on the story we've been following since last september. using private ambulances rather than dc fire and ems to transport patients for suffering from minor medical emergencies. >> fox 5 has learned the service will begin monday march 28th. it will operate 18 hours a day. paul wagner joins us live. >> reporter: i have obtained a copy of the general order which lays out basically everything that's going to happen. it's about 7 pages long and i'm

now. i've obtained that copy now which was sent out to all firefighters and paramedics yesterday laying out the protocols for what's called third-party transport explaining in detail how they see the performing. the first ambulances will hit the street at 7:00 in the morning on march 28th and remain in service every day until 1:00 the following morning. the protocol say the emts the private ambulances will arrive within 10 minutes. the patient has a right to request a certain hospital, which is opposite of the protocol now. pediatric, ob/gyn and patients under arrest are excluded from going in private ambulances. and firefighters have been told fob friendly but firm with patients when explaining the new

protocols. provided by american medical response. according to the protocols, patients with chest pains, overdoses, burns, imminent childbirth and severe allergic reactions are just some of the conditions that dc fire and ems personnel will continue to care for. the private ambulances, with two trained emts on board will handle basic emergencies, like cuts and sprained ankles. what's happening here we are an emergency response agency. we have an opportunity to treat the patient, make sure the patient is stable. turn that patient over

somebody who has the same training as them to transport the patient to respond with other alarms in their district. the public is going to have to get comfort with it. our members are going to have to get comfortable with it. >> reporter: in the general order laying out the protocols, there are five paragraphs of suggested responses when patients want to know why dc fire and ems is not taking them to the hospital. one of them says firefighters should just tell patients that the private ambulance will get them to the hospital, which frees up firefighters and paramedics for other emergency calls. paul wagner, fox 5 local news. students. he is being charged with assault and child abuse. the other officer has been charged with assault but as of right now both officers are out on bond. >> the better business bureau is disputing the ratings claims that donald trump is making about his now defunct university. he says it currently has an "a" rating. the business rating agency says the rating has pluktuated between an "a" plus and a "d" minus. it has no ratings since it is no longer in operation. >> we have the act tournament in town and march madness underway. the candidates for president also looking for their one shining moment. >> a number one seed like trump or clinton, will they take it all or will we see a cinderella story.

we're going to be eclipsing because at 78 and 77 just about everybody is headed for 80 or higher with a strong south wind tomorrow. a little bit on the breezy side too. we're forecasting 82 for reagan, 83 for dulles and bwi. here's a look at what's ahead in the weather headlines. a little bit on the breezy side tomorrow. don't be surprised. the majority of friday though, this is new and improved, now looks like it's going to be dry. we'll have a couple of showers late tomorrow night into friday morning, but it should also be a mild and dry saturday with temperatures in the mid 60s and sunday a little bit unsettled but no watch r. wash-out and we'll kind and take a peek at saturday. we are going to be taking the temperature down just a little bit for the weekend, when you consider 53 is average we're still looking good here. temperatures mostly in the 60s on saturday and it's going to be dry. we don't want to have too many 80s early in march because we know we'll have plenty of them as we go forward into our warm summer months.

76 in the district, 79 for gaithersburg and frederick. you're still holding on to 80, martinsburg considerably cooler for annapolis and you can see up and down the coast. a little cooler towards chicago at 61. but everybody is enjoying this unseasonable warm-up. tomorrow some clouds around, but still a beautiful day. even with those extra clouds we'll be able to get into the low 80s. this is that front going to come through. it will drop our temperature. we expect a couple of showers overnight but friday is looking like it will be dry and nice with a lot of sunshine coming back and temperatures heading right back up into the 60s and 70s. here's a look at tomorrow, 82 for the district, 81 for fredricksburg, an awful lot of rain really just disastrously heavy. some 8-12 inches of rain possible across the deep south. that gulf moisture being blocked out of our area
