mixed up a little bit. it wasn't me. i'm not going to take the blame. but i am going to tell you what's going to be happening. right now we have a winter weather advisory in effect for areas of the west and this includes the allegheny front and potomac high lands. we will start to see some snow at 4:00 a.m. in the morning. that's where they're going to see accumulating snow especially in the higher elevations. we've got a couple of low pressure systems, one that's going to transfer energy to another and we're going to get a combination of things on saturday and sunday. and that includes rain, a wintry mix and then some snowfall. for us the snowfall is going to be very light in nature and i am talking really a dusting. here's a look at the areas that you can see here. to the north and to the west of us, maybe a dusting up to about 2 inches and to the higher elevations we'll see a lot more. this is nothing that's going to be sticking around

and actually the models are now pointing to more of a rain event than anything else but i still can't rule out we won't see a flake or two. current temperatures into the 50s and your overnight low will be in the 30s. i'll have the forecast and the timeline a little later. >> tonight the baltimore ravens are mourning the loss of one of their own. ravens corner back 23-year-old trey walker has died just one day after a dirt bike accident in florida. his dirt bike collided with a ford escape last night. his dirt bike did not have headlights and he was not wearing a het met. he was a fourth round pick of the ravens in 2015. he dedicated his rookie season to his father who died of a heart attack in 2014. >> so sad. fox 5 is in loudoun county tonight with the search for solutions to the heroin crisis.

recovering addicts met at a community forum. tisha lewis was there. she joins us now with the story new at 10:00. >> well, shawn, this emergency meeting comes after a high school student died due to a potential heroin overdose. the goal was to get the word out about the peril of heroin. we're inside the drug enforcement administration museum and visitor center in leesburg. call it a perfect setting for a candid discussion about the rising use of heroin among students. >> i lost my brother a year and a half ago to a drug overdose. it's important to me that nobody else goes through what my family has been through. >> reporter: erica potter's brother jason was 37 years old when he died. >> is it a solution? no. is it a start? yes. >> reporter: potter is talking about this packed friday night forum where she

scores of people impacted by a loved one's drug addiction including heroin. the focus here is getting help the most vulnerable population using heroin, children. focusing on rehabilitation as opposed to to cripplealization. >> i haven't used alcohol or any other drug in over eight years al this point. >> he's helping the state educate students about heroin's dangers before it's too late. >> get help. okay? i could not do this on my own. i've never met anyone that could. >> reporter: now, in loudoun county the number of fatal heroin overdoses increased between 2013 and 2014, however the county says aggressive programs have caused a decline in fatal overdoses in the last year. tisha lewis, fox 5 local news. >> a v. man is in jail

accused of giving his wife a fatal dose of heroin. he gave his wife the fatal dose back in february. at first police charged him with child endangerment. but a further investigation led police to charge him with murder. >> tonight a student says another student raped her on the school's campus. the alleged accident happened wednesday afternoon during school hours and was reported later that night. according to the police report the two had a previous sexual relationship but the alleged victim says the male student forced her to have sex without her consent. a spokesperson for the school said in a statement, it is the longstanding policy of the school to cooperate fully with any law enforcement investigation.

comment on any such investigations. developing tonight four months after the isis attack that left 130 people dead in paris, one of the master minds has been captured alive. >> reporter: the largest man hunt in modern european history is tonight over and the man who got away is in custody. he's wounded, but he's alive. he was tracked down to his apartment in his home district in brussels. on breaching the door police shouted at him to come out with his arms up, when he didn't, they shot him in the knee. he along with two other men are now in custody. saleh was the one who got away. soon after the paris attacks he was pictured driving to brussels. he was stopped twice but let go and despite a

the trail went dead. some people suggested he had gone back to syria. others thought he had fled to morocco. but all along he was under the noses of the police in brussels seemingly hidden by accomplices. >> this shows that the community is providing safe haven for him. they were helping him p moving him from location to location. a lot of people had to know about his whereabouts over these months. >> reporter: on tuesday well jump and french authorities cared out a joint raid and were met with fierce resistance. one man was killed and four people were injured. but salah and one other escaped across the roof tops. his fingerprints were found and he left behind

a suicide belt was found in a suburb of paris after those massacres. whatever the reason, tonight he is in police custody. he's wounded, but he's going to face justice. in london, benjamin hall, fox news. >> a virginia man who allegedly fought with isis is speaking out why he decided to surrender this week. in a television interview he expressed regret for joining the group. he says he made a bad decision and was not thinking straight. he said he joined the group last year but had second thoughts once they started teaching him shariah law and banned him from smoking. >> during my whole trip there i didn't meet any americans, i didn't really support their

national arboretum's eagle cam and got to witness the birth of that baby this morning. the eaglet emerged at about 8:15 this morning. people at the arboretum say the eaglet appears to be healthy and is eating. >> sushi. >> you know what, it's all a good sign. here is a live look tonight from eagle cam. another egg is in the nest. this is sort of a different angle we're used to seeing. one of them is staying there in the nest covering up the egg that needs to hatch that egg could hatch sometime this weekend. >> i think they were saying possibly on sunday we could see one. >> we'll be watching. >> guess what? that's not the only eagle's

right now police don't have much to go on. paul wagner reports. >> reporter: last friday morning just after 1:00, neighbors along this peaceful quiet section of the potomac river heard two bursts of gunfire aimed at this man who was sitting in a room off a porch facing the river. >> this is very unusual for fairfax county. the majority of our murders are acquaintance murders. whether it's domestic or friends where they've had an argument. here we have no leads, no information to tie any suspects or any motives to it. so it is very unusual. >> reporter: no enemies that you're aware of? >> we have no credible information that would take us on a journey to track down a lead and that's the true mystery of this. >> reporter: he was originally from

longer, there is a possibility but we don't think so. chilly start, warm end to next week. wait until you see my temperatures on the 7-day forecast. in the meantime, we've got two systems here and this is where all this moisture is going to be coming from as it moves its way up the eastern seaboard. right now there is a winter weather advisory for the potomac highlands. this kicks in saturday and is in effect until sunday at noon. high pressure giving us the cooler air that we are experiencing and we will only be in the 30s for tonight. we've got this low pressure to keep an eye on and this is going to start to move its way through and we're going to start to see another low pressure system end up getting energy from the first one transferred over to it. saturday we're talking the most impact from it. we're going to see rain and a little bit of wintry mix and a little bit of snow. right now it's pointing to more of a rain event than

else but i can't rule out that we won't see that dusting or a little bit of a wintry mix. it looks like with one of our molds it may come in just a little bit earlier. we're talking about the line for the dusting and a dusting to 2 inches is possible here once we move more towards the west and 2 to 4 over the higher elevations. let's look at the timeline from this particular model. here's 9:00 in the morning. we've already got a little bit of mix here on the edge of it and as we progress through into the afternoon and evening hours. a little bit of rain, mix, light snow and it continues through until we head into the early hours on sunday. temperatures into the 30s. ground temperatures are not going to be so cold that this is going to stick at all. so we're talking grassy surfaces and things of that sort. so don't be too worried about any road conditions as far as that's concerned. temperatures now are into the 40s and the low 50s everywhere and in the overnight as i said we will be into the 30s. tomorrow we're talking highs into the 40s. but
