10:47 pm
see clouds starting to roll in, too. here's a look at what is happening now the storm system hermine moves is way across myrtle beach and by tomorrow it will move its way across into north carolina before it moves off to sea. you can see here just circulation of a lot of heavy rainfall here and it's not moving that quickly. that's a problem. and that's because the longer it stays here the more rain of course they're going to gets and more flooding potential they'll have to deal w we're talking really high surf here and rip current along the coastal area and very powerful winds as well. 50 mile an hour winds currently and it's moving northeast at 20 miles an hour. by the time we get into tomorrow it will head its way out to sea and become a very strong low-pressure system and will kind of have to sit here for a little bit because it will be blocked but it does have potential of reintensifying again and it's going to lose most of its tropical characteristics and not all. so that's going to be issue here. and the main

it cannot move further. we'll talk about that nay second. tropical storm warnings up and down the coast to north we have tropical storm watchs in effect and as it starts to get closer we can see some changing and we're going to look at future cast now this gives us a little timeline for our area and here's 7:00 tomorrow morning and lower southern maryland southeastern virginia getting hit and the beaches definitely and take a look at 2:00 in the afternoon it looks like it will pull out a little bit earlier now and not moving so far nort north. and on the backside from d.c. as i said we could get a break. fay a look at clearing happening on this model. we could actually get pretty good, sunny breaks and the thing is on sunday f. it moves closer back towards the coast then we might see rainfall again. but this looks like a much more improved picture than we have had. here's a look at rain total potentials anywhere from 5 to 6" from areas to the east of us and maybe half inch or so as far as we kind of look east of i 95 corror
10:49 pm
we're talking less and we might get a passing shower or two. this might really start to look a lot better than it has been. strong ridge of high pressure in place. that means this storm system cannot move north at all and head its way out away from us. what it will do is sit here and buckle back and forth and back and forth or it will move closer to the coastline once again and reintensify and become a named storm for second time so. that's when we talk about we really have to watch the track of what is happening and significant rain and wind likely east of i 95 corridor for us and i 81 and west drier and maybe some sun and beaches hit quite a bit and forecast can change depending on track. that's all that we're really looking at closely. here's a look at "fox5" accuweather 7-day forecast you can see a heat wave it's coming back. i believe i'm that is in september. take a look. up to upper 70s by the time we get to end of week and plenty of sunshine by the time we get to tuesday, labor day
