by monday it had travel 14 mile down the potomac river. rer it was first noticed up at poinn of rocks.of roc. it's getting ever closer to wssc's intake valves and is really important because theortu potomac filtration plant rightnt there takes in 400 million gallons of riverons water every day which becomes bm 70% of the drinking water for fr montgomery and prince george'sr' counties.unes so wssc says it is taking stepss to make sure that the plume doee not get into the intake it's doing thing like it's got a boom out in the potomac river rr trying to move the water flowlo divert that away from the intake area. they've also shut down the intakes overnight into the thiss afternoon because they want tott make sure that it's not sucking that oily sheen, that water in and also they fill the tanks tos capacity so that it can keep upu with water demand. while the inn takes are shutre s down, and they're also putting g
